Q & As

Not that good I really struggled with this product and had to press down really hard to get a mark 12 September 2014
Dressmakers chalks and brush Well I must the lucky one, because mine work very well and very pleased with them. You do have to press a little harder than tailors chalk. But they do work. 19 January 2014
Will not mark any fabric. USELESS Bought these for a sewing class, thought that as they were pencils with a point they would have more accuracy. One problem, THEY WILL NOT MARK THE FABRIC. The chalk is so hard/plasticy that it is useless. As a last restort i wondered if the new end had a protective coating and so i sharpened it in a pencil sharpener. This made no difference, even when i got a bit of scrap denin and tried scrubbing the end of the pencil on the fabric. AVOID. 25 September 2013
Didn't work on my curtain fabric at all. I had bought these as I needed to mark up some hemming on a pair of multicoloured curtains. Neither the white or blue chalk left any discernible mark on the fabric even after sharpening and sandpapering to try to rough them up, so I had to resort to ordinary pencil. Sorry to say that these were a complete waste of money for me. 06 November 2012
