Elegant, well made and resilient We wanted to use these to put Christmas Puddings in, which we then handed out as presents. The bowls we used (small) were just the right size for a pudding for 2 people. The bowls are simple in design but went down really well with those recieving them - as they are already looking forward to using them themselves. The colour scheme and build is elegant, straightforward and resilient - they won't break easily! They look and feel well made and we think that they really did add a certain something to the presents we gave to friends and family. We strongly recommend these items. 09 January 2013

Very well made This is the first pudding basin I've ever owned. I'm American -- I never heard of steamed puddings before I moved here! But I have made two so far and they turned out fine. The glazing is even, it is sturdy, and the lip around the rim makes it easy to tie a string handle around it. The only thing I didn't like was how difficult it was to scrape the label sticker off the bottom. 27 November 2012

Old fashioned nostalgia To be honest I purchased these because of reading an article about aluminum leaching into your food through cooking items. I threw away my aluminum pudding basins and replaced them with these ceramic basins. Very happy with them. Cook just as well and remind me of a set my Nan used to own and she was a fantastic cook. 08 May 2012
