Using the funky Abacus design, Orla Kiely has bought her unique design signature to the Pure Evoke Mio DAB radio. It allows reception of numerous DAB stations and also your favourite FM stations, all with an iconic retro-yet-modern 1950s design twist.

You’ll enjoy crystal clear digital sound through the built-in 3” full-range speaker not only from DAB transmissions but also from your iPod, MiniDisc or portable music player thanks to the auxiliary input.

Scrolling text is easily readable from nearly any angle thanks to an organic, brightness adjustable LED display – it can also be stored for perusal later when you’re less distracted.

Perfect! Have been after one of these for a long time and when it arrived yesterday I was not disappointed. The radio is of a really good quality and nice clean sound. It looks great and is easy to use with clear instructions. I have not used it in conjunction with my mp3 player yet, but it appears to have the apprpropriate input. The John Lewis "Click and Collect" facility was an added bonus, which meant it was available the following lunchtime, was a seamless service and I was well informed of when it was ready to collect by email and text. I'll definitely use again. 15 June 2013

A Funky Radio I'm absolutely delighted with this radio....it's never off!!!! Not only does it look good ( always a bonus ) it has a resonance about the sound of a much more expensive product. PURE & SIMPLE An excellent product bringing hours of top quality sound. A fun item which is so neat with a surprising undistorted sound even at high volume levels. Very useful rechargeable battery a must but be careful to buy the right one for the radio you buy - this battery recharges automatically so ideal when in the bath and you've disconnected from the mains. 07 October 2012

Delighted with the look & sound of this DAB radio alarm This radio is a bit expensive but it is simple to programme and use immediately when it arrives. The radio alarm function is useful & the Orla Kiely design is very pretty. Good buy. 21 July 2012

Lovely radio if you like the Orla look and not an audio geek Very happy with this purchase. It's not the king of sound by any means but packs a decent punch with the bass and volume whilst working in a kitchen or having it by the window so you can hear it from the garden. The aux input is most useful if you want to listen to your own music via spotify / mp3 files from your smart phone or ipod etc. The DAB radio was suprisingly good considering we're rural and don't have a great signal. Most stations were receiving well, with just a few with slightly bad reception. If you're not into the whole Orla Kiely look, then get a normal cheaper radio as you are paying for the label and look but you do get a great quality radio, nice and heavy and sturdy, buttons and case all feel well made and not likely to break or damage easy. 12 June 2012

The perfect digital radio I bought this digital radio first and foremost as a dock to play music from my phone. I am very much anti iPhone and found it difficult to find a radio and docking station not solely designed for the iPhone. The auxiliary input works perfectly with a 3.5mm jack, all you need is the jack lead to connect the two which are cheap to purchase. The sound quality is brilliant, its full and has that radio quality about it. The digital tunning is spot in and you can preset channel to switch between at ease. The styling is perfect, as I said I don't like to move with the masses so this was an appeal to me, its also a sturdy little thing so I am looking forward to taking it outside in the summer. The only draw back is that the battery pack is sold separately, and you have to use this pack, you cannot simple pop in a couple of batteries. Other than that an excellent purchase, I use it as an clock radio ever morning, simple marvelous. 30 May 2012
