Queensberry Hunt for John Lewis White Bone China Plates, Set of 4
Good all rounder
This is a fantasic collection, contempary in looks, great quality. Always looks good on the table, casual or formal settings. No hesitations to recommend on all fronts!

The finish appears to be good, but unfortunately, the plates are slightly differing in size. I do not feel this is the quality that one expects from John Lewis.
If I had purchesed these in a local JL shop, I would have returned the product. but as I am 85 miles away, I decided to keep the plates , but would not purchase this product again.
I notice that you also have this range in seconds and trust that the ones that I purchased did not fall into this category by mistake.

Very practical and smart
We bought the whole set 7 years ago and have been very pleased with them. They go with any coloured table mats and are smart enough for entertaining as well as everyday use. They are very robust and have only broken 1 plate so far. I only wish John Lewis sold the items singly to replace breakages rather than having to buy a boxed set of 4.

Nice and plain
I had been looking for something to get replacements/additions to my Royal Doulton Symmetry plates. This came fairly close, especially when it comes to the nice mellow colour, that is a good match for my existing ones.

Poor quality compared to first set purchased
Some years ago I purchased a set of John Lewis white bone china (in the white packaging) which I am extremely happy with. I have chipped a couple of plates so decided to top up my stock and bought packs of 4 30cm plates, 18.5 cm plates and dessert bowls.
These new ones are under the Queensbury Hunt label.
When I unpacked them they are very poor quality. The glaze on the rims is patchy and on one of the bowls the glaze has run down the outside creating bulges.
Fortunately I live near the shop where I purchased them, so I returned and by sorting through the available stock managed to put together an acceptable set. I noticed that many pieces had poor quality glazes.
I can only suggest that John Lewis returns to its original manufacturer and gets rid of Queensbury Hunt.

Good but Wedgwood better
Bought these to replace wonderful 40 year old Royal Doulton patterned dinner plates that with daily use are finally too scratched ,faded and shabby. Been using new plates daily for a month. Nice plain white and very importantly light and strong which is why bone china is so much better than anything else. However 2 things annoyed me-firstly at 28cm they do not easily fit into my Miele dishwasher and can only fit in a certain position to avoid the spray arm. Secondly all the details regarding weight and dimensions of the plates were on a narrow side of the packaging box. Why not in a more prominent place for such important information when you are making a purchase? Not made in the UK (Indonesia I think),Overall wish I had paid extra and bought more of my lovely British made Wedgwood 27 cm dinner plates.

Just not good enough
I bought a set of 4 dinner plates and 4 cereal bowls. When I laid the plates out next to each other it was very clear they were all a slightly different shape. One was really quite a bit deeper than the others and one was very much flatter. There was also 2 shades of whiteness across the 4 plates. They were quite thick china and certainly didn't have a 'fine china' feel.
The cereal bowls were tiny, more like something you would use for dips. Although it had given their diameter on the web site it didn't explain just how shallow they were. My 8 year old son couldn't have used them! I'm usually a big fan of John Lewis but I've sent the whole lot back.

Fine but nothing special
These are fine, nothing special at the price but "Good" about sums them up. The finish could be better at this price point.
