Tiny! I read all the reviews before I ordered these bowls and I cant believe nobody has mentioned how tiny they are. Although it give the diameter is doesn't say how shallow they are. My 8 year old son couldn't have used them they are that small. Would be nice for dips and nuts etc but not cereal. Normally a big fan of John Lewis but have sent these back. 23 April 2013

Excellent service I bought these on line for my daughter-in-law (she is collecting the set). I ordered them on a Saturday afternoon and they arrived mid morning on Monday. Amazing! Sadly when she opened the gift one bowl was cracked. However, on explaining to our local store what had happened, the bowl was replaced with no fuss. Well done John Lewis. 22 March 2012

A beautiful bowl for mornings...and more My wife and I recently ordered an entire set of Queensbury Hunt bone china and asked John Lewis to ship it out to Denmark for our usage there. The set included the white cereal bowls as you see above. If you have grown up eating cereal for breakfast, like I have, you probably want a bowl that is low maintenance. We also use this bowls for other things such as serving snacks etc. and I can tell you they can certainly multi-purpose! During the process of ordering online it is of course very difficult to select your daily use cutlery without actually feeling it your hands. Having used it, we can both say that it is a very high quality and durable service that is a clean white tone. The remarkable thing about the Queensbury Hunt service is that it is durable yet extremely light. We have run the cereal bowls through our dishwasher a few times now and they fit well into a standard size dishwasher – without any adjustment of the dishwasher tray. These bowls fit with any pre-existing service you may have, although we did struggle a little to store them into a drawer as we didn’t fancy stacking them more than 2 high. Nothing a little re-shuffle couldn’t cure though. On delivery the one compliant I do have is that the driver left the entire set in our driveway (which is somewhat normal in Denmark) however they did not allow us to sign for the package nor ring the door bell which is a little strange. However it must be noted that the service is packed well and we did not find any damage due to shipment. All in all it is a very price competitive service so we cannot complain. The cereal bowls are great for everyday use and have a good size which is useable and also provides a large portion of your daily cornflakes compared to what I was used to! If you do select it, I don’t think you will be disappointed – we certainly are not and we use this as an everyday family service. 21 March 2012

Excellent Value We chose JL white bone china cereal bowls because they proved to be excellent value and 'bone china' which would compliment all our other best and everyday china should we need to used extra dishes for entertaining. 27 January 2012
