ROBERTS DREAMDOCK DAB/FM Digital Clock Radio with iPod Dock
We opted for this clock as it it was supposed to have a really dim setting. However the light is still far too bright. The result is that we have had to stick a piece of black card over the face with a cut-out so that only the time is showing. Even with this adaptation it is still on the bright side for having next to the bed, and it makes seeing the display to changing stations almost impossible. We stuck with this radio having concluded that it is the nature of this type of screen that they will inherently be too bright, so we put up with it. Other than that the radio is fine and does what it should do, though I haven't actually tried setting the alrm on it.

very easy to use, love the fact that you can choose the view of the dimmer, the sound is good and it looks good too.........best clock radio I've ever bought

Let down by spoken sound quality.
Small speakers can be expected to limit sound quality, but for music this radio was quite adequate. However, we found that the bass bias and rather restricted treble meant that the spoken word (news bulletins for example) could sound unacceptably muffled and hard to "hear"), even with maximum treble boost and minimum bass settings on the equaliser. This was a particularly annoying problem at low volumes (we used this as a bed-side radio). In the end the strain of listening to speech defeated us and had to take the radio back. Otherwise it was a neat product (though ours also showed the "off-air" fault reported by others).

I always review customer comments before I purchase items like this so I'm pleased to add my own.
We've found this to be a really good quality product with great functionality and ease of use. We think the sound is pretty good for it's size also. Would definitely recommend to others.

Fantastic product and easy to use. Great sound and lovely, compact design. Bought two this Christmas for my daughter and my husband and both delighted.

Good little radio
After trying the Pure Chronos iDock (terrible sound quality) and the Philips AJB7038D (great sound but display far too bright to sleep beside), I have found this little Roberts to be much better than either. The sound is not quite as good as the much larger Philips, but it is still good for the size. The display brightness is adjustable to a lower level than the Philips, although it could still go darker (ideally). My only other criticism is the lack of an additional USB charging port (like the Pure radios), and that the dock is not spring-loaded to adapt to different iPods and iPhones.

Roberts Clock Radio
This is a fine product, beautifully made and convenient to use. As a DAB radio it has a wide range of stations, and has an Iphone installation which is great both for using Itunes and recharging (especially at night). The sound quality is excellent. It has one strange anomaly: there is a facility for storing one's favourite radio stations but no way of retrieving them (a fact confirmed by the absence of any instructions in the manual). I discovered this in a phone-call with Roberts after purchasing iT. Strange, given the reral quality of this product.
