The PillowTalk is basically a speaker on a wire that you tuck under your pillow. It enables you to listen to the radio without disturbing your partner. You can even go to bed learning a different language or listening to your favourite audio book.

The unit is about the same size as a large pair of earphones and is suitable for any radio, radio cassette, clock radio, iPod/MP3 player or other equipment fitted with a 3.5mm headphone socket.

ROBERTS Pillow Talk Speaker 3.8 5 15 15

Good but easily broken I have bought four of these speakers in the last few years, as they all seem to break after a while. The sound is good quality, but the switch seems useless and unnecessary. Unfortunately you can not repair them, because everything is connected to a printed circuit board, so Mr Roberts can you make them more robust in future 15 April 2013

20th I cannot live without this but they always break eventually at the connection .This will be the 20th one I have bought. Complained to Roberts about design flaw but will not update. Sad because sound is great although very old fashioned looking, 26 March 2013

I never leave home without it! My other half bought this a while back for one of my Christmas presents to help me sleep. He is a noisy sleeper and I like to drift off to music but he prefers dead quiet - I was using earplugs but couldn't stand the noise of my own heart/pulse/breathing! This was the compromise. It works a treat, he's never been disturbed by it, and I drift off to sleep in next to no time. I take it everywhere: overnight stays, holidays, even an unplanned hospital admission! I use it with my old iPod and find the sound through the speaker of good quality. I would suggest that if you have an issue with the sound quality or find it uncomfortable to sleep on, it's a pillow issue you have - buy a good pillow (you won't hear it through 2!). I have actually just purchased another one for a Christmas gift this year. And yes, I do still use 1 earplug - he's still making a noise, even after surgery! I really would be lost without this product. 19 December 2012

Quiet enjoyment This pillow speaker is really good to drift off with and distracts some tinnitus. We have two other types of pillow speaker and this is by far the best with a good depth of sound. Roberts triumph again. Highly recommended. 10 December 2012
