At long last. I have spent several years trying to find a garment bag which meets RyanAir's carry-on luggage size restrictions. To my knowledge this is the only bag which does so. I previously used a Wenger case which was 45 cm wide: fine for flying with EasyJet whose size restrictions are slightly more generous than RyanAir's. However, as the latter are the carrier for flights to the UK from my local airport, this case is a godsend. As well as taking a suit with ease - I am at a loss to understand why another reviewer had to fold his three times - it has room for shoes, shirts, underwear and a sponge bag so making it an ideal weekend case. Its outside pocket comfortably holds my iPad inside a messenger bag. Delivery by John Lewis was excellent: the bag was ordered on a Friday and arrived at my home in central Italy the following Friday. The delivery charge was a third of that demanded by the firm selling the identical case on Amazon Market Place. 21 September 2012

Dissapointed- suits still crumpled Bought this as it's suitable for on board luggage and I'm tired of crumpled suits when travelling (I bought 2 hardshell samsonite cases from JL previously which are great but not ideal for suits/short trips). When you put the suit inside with a hangar the carrier is too shallow to fold the in the middle so you end up with it folded twice. My suit was crumpled more than ever, and again although the internal starpping and "shroud" that the suit fits inside looks well designed it is so compact it also crumples the suit. Understand that to make it cabin sized there needed to be compromise but reality is the concept doesnt seem to work. So now I have to place suits in without a hanger and stuff socks etc into the shoulders and arms to try and minimise the creasing as much as poss- a pain in the neck when your travelling a lot GS 08 May 2012

Very good for carrying a suit etc as it qualifies as hand luggage Another customer recommended this when looking at all options in John Lewis store and now fully agree with his comments about the quality and sturdiness of the garment bag. 16 January 2012
