Blend eye-catching style and convenience in your kitchen with the stainless steel and glass Samsung BT621VDST Metro dual cook oven.

Featuring Samsung’s patented dual cook technology, this oven gives you two cooking spaces in one! If you’re cooking a large turkey and need to use the entire 65 litre cavity you have plenty of space to do so, but what if you need to bake a cake and roast a chicken at the same time? Simply slide in the removable shelf to split the cavity, and you can create two independently controlled cavities.

These can be heated to different temperatures and for different lengths of time, and with no transference of smell or flavour between the two cavities, you can cook dishes such as sea bass and apple pie at the same time while preserving both flavours.

Dual cook technology can also save you money by using less energy. If you only need to cook a small dish in half of the oven then you can split the cavity in two and only heat up the section that you are using. This means the oven heats up quicker and uses less energy.

The dual digital display highlights oven settings and cooking information so that you can enjoy perfect meals every time.

With the BT621VDST, cleaning your oven has never been easier. Just pour a little bit of water onto the bottom of the oven, press the 'steam clean' button and come back in 25 minutes. The oven will be steam cleaned and all that's left to do is wipe off the grease and dirt with a cloth.

Finally, the triple glazed door reduces heat loss and keep the heat in the oven, making it safe to touch the glass even when the oven is in use.

Samsung BT621VDST Dual Cook Electric Single Oven, Stainless Steel 3 5 8 8
Disappointingly poor! Having had other Samsung products and done our research we looked forward to our new oven with confidence. How mistaken we were. The first meal cooked was frozen fish. It was put in the oven after the red light went out and the oven "pinged " to indicate that the required temperature had been reached. Cooked for more than the required time the fish was still partially frozen! We contacted the supplier who arranged an engineer visit. That resulted in a whole new control panel being fitted but no improvement. The oven was then replaced but again the same problem!--ie required temperature 170 degrees, ping and red light out after 5 mins at 135 degrees. It takes another 15mins to get to170 degrees ! We gave up and continued with low use of the oven over the next two and a half years using an oven temperature guage. Now the door seal has broken. Having contacted customer services the response was that the product is out of warranty( which I knew) and I should contact a service engineer. Based on our previous experience I had no wish to do this and in any case didn't want to incur any expense on a product which we have found to be so disappointing. We have decided to cut our losses and are in the process of buying a new oven which most certainly will not be a Samsung. 04 February 2014
Very poor product Based on our experience please don't buy. We bought two ovens which were installed the end of August. They do not provide the basic functions that you would expect - for instance there is no means to programme on and off times. There is no indication that oven temperature has been reached. (a previous reviewer has mention the "ping" that occurs but that is not related to the set oven temperature - there is also a light on the panel that goes out but once again this is random and doesn't relate to the actual temperature. The first meal we cooked using recommended settings the chicken was still raw after two hours. We needed to buy extra shelf for cooking normal meal (these shelves are a poor design as the raised bar at the front means items get caught when being removed.) We are still awaiting engineers visit with spare parts trying to resolve matters on one of the ovens that never reaches anything like operating temperature. The manual is very basic and does not even describe the functions of all the controls/indicators. I could go on. We assumed that being a Samsung product it would be superb - how wrong can you be. Any offers for two ovens? 07 October 2013
Unreliable Had this oven since May. Second call out booked today. Call outs not very quick. Samsung service agent operates from up north, and seemingly we have to wait until he is in the area? Oven appears to warm up quickly and then "pings" but at this point the oven still has about 20 degrees to go! Told this is in the Samsung limits! Digital display seems to have a mind of its own and changes randomly, hence this second call out. WILL BE WITHOUT OVEN FOR 5 DAYS. 01 October 2013
Great double oven in a single oven space As a family of six with no room for a full double oven we searched long and hard to find the right solution for us. This oven fits the bill - we can use it as two ovens and contrary to other comments you can use the grill in the top oven while using the lower section as, well, an oven. It is up to temperature very quickly, quicker than we are ready to use it (such a difference on what it replaced which took over half an hour to warm up!). We've used it for 7 months now and are delighted with it. John Lewis customer service excellent as always. 21 September 2013
Sooo wanted to keep it!!!!! I really love the idea and look of this oven but needed it to go under a gas hob, the technical drawing shows a small cut out at the back and I thought this would be OK. Unfortunately not, the oven arrived today and it won't fit into the recess because of the gas pipe to the hob. What a shame it looks absolutely fantastic and well made and at a great price. Called customer services and as always John Lewis were excellent and are arranging for it to be collected/ refunded. I've ordered an alternative which was more money and not such a great design :( Could have got an induction hob to go with it which would have solved the problem but would have been too much to spend. 04 December 2012
Fantastic! We've had this oven for three years now, and it's the best we've ever had. The fact that one can cook two batches of food at the same time, at different temperatures and with individual timer alerts is fantastic - and when cooking one thing, only half of the oven is heated up (unless it's something very bulky), thus saving lots of energy. We also love the timer alarm. Instead of frantic emergency beeps that can drive one crazy, it's a nice plinging sound with decent pauses in between, sort of notifying that the time is up, "but please finish your tea, there's no urgency"... One reviewer disliked the divider, but I have no problem with it: A red line on the display indicates that it's in place, but it's not disturbing. Obviously, if one starts removing the divider while cooking, the current settings go off, as there are totally different settings available with and without the divider. This may cause confusion at first, but once one understands how the oven works, it makes perfect sense. 27 September 2012
Very economical oven Really pleased with our purchase and happy with samsungs delivery service via our john lewis store. Oven arrived, easy for hubby to fit though it did need hard wiring in rather than direct plug in it went in easily. Plenty of trays and shelves supplied so happy to recycle all my old ones! Used the top oven mainly and the door does get condensation on butveasy enough to wipe it dry. Only issue really is it has so many features but they missed off one id have been keen to use, an automatic timer for oven to heat up and cook items then an auto switch off. Would be nice for dark winter nights to have tea ready and waiting but still happy overall. 07 September 2012
Could be a good oven, but it's not Maybe the best looking oven you will ever see. big, easy to clean. It was too big to fit in the unit without moving the gas pipes at the back. but we loved the look of this, so we went ahead. The display and controls are lovely, sort of space age, although while the divider is in the oven, there is an ugly red bar displayed, this *will* annoy you, but the divider is *big* so unless you have a large kitchen, it will stay in place. However, if you touch the divider when you are checking food, it often resets the oven, you will have to switch it back on, reset the temperature, time, etc. it gets annoying quite quickly. The divider lets you use the oven as an independent dual oven, which is a nice feature, but sadly not the grill in dual mode, which would make it a great feature. The grill is best grill I have ever used on any electric oven. fast, even. excellent. Some reviews comment that the oven heats up quickly, but it doesn't actually do so. it is computer controlled (not by a thermostat like most ovens) and the computer decides when it has reached the correct temperature. On our oven it took ten minutes to reach 200 degrees, but the oven claimed it was ready in 2 minutes. we were seriously undercooking food till we realised. Sadly sent back in the end. 23 June 2012
