Sound Bars

With TVs getting slimmer and built-in speakers getting smaller - choosing the right sound system is more important than ever. Sound bars add that extra audio punch to all your movies, games and TV programmes. More affordable and easier to set up than a full size speaker system, they don’t compromise on quality either.

Q & As

Samsung UE32H6410 LED HD 1080p 3D Smart TV, 32" with Freeview/Freesat HD 4 5 5 5
Good quality product. Excellent TV with many features and looks good in the bedroom. White finish goes with any décor. Easy to tune in and operate. Built-in Freesat a bonus. 03 October 2014
Could be good but . . Only just bought, but . . . The stand has two feet which are too far apart to sit on our Sound Box and don't allow me to swivel it easily. It has an annoying feature that brings up a 'Book Me' green button. This should only appear during HD trailers, but once there, stays up. Have asked Samsung and got a confirmation email saying 'Automated response, do not reply', then saying 'any comments, please reply'! As rowans review said, why is it so hard to change from Freeview (DTT) to FreeSat (DSat). Why can't they be two different sources - it must be different tuners? 29 August 2014
Really smart smart TV Very easy to set up. Two remotes a bonus especially voice control and pointer. Wired internet working well but need to use wireless connection for full interactive functionality with other devices. Plenty of hdmi inputs which is good. Only downside is sound is not synced but there is adjustment in settings and I use with external sound anyway. 15 July 2014
Superb... after firmware update Very impressed with appearance, picture, 3D and audio when connected via Humax Foxsat HDR or a SKY STB via HDMI. However, there were very noticeable audio problems. Lip sync was out by a mile when using the on-board Freeview, Freeview HD, FreeSAT and FreeSAT HD. A quick search online showed the problem was widespread and mainly concerned the Samsung 6 series. I immediately contacted Samsung support and their reply suggested they were unaware of the sync problem. I pushed them further with another 2 emails and they finally admitted they were aware of the sound delay and were working on a software update to resolve the issue. I then contacted John Lewis support who were very understanding and helpful. They first offered a replacement, refund or alternative but I explained that it seemed to be a software problem and a fix may be forthcoming. So they assured me that if I waited for a software fix for a reasonable time, and it does not solve the problem, then their initial offer stood. Brilliant service. I continued to pester Samsung support, sending them links to forums where this problem was being reported. A few days later their tech support contacted me with a link to a firmware update to try. EURIKA! It worked. It is now available online by going to the Samsung website, search for your model, check the support link and download the latest firmware currently 2113.4. Alternatively on the remote hit MENU/SOFTWARE UPDATE/UPDATE NOW This is now an awesome TV, especially if you connect a screw-in F-connector for FreeSAT HD. 11 July 2014
Disappointing so far. After 3 days of ownership, oh how i wish i could write "superb picture, great sound, easy to use and nice features". I wish, but i can't. We bought this model because you can hook up both your freesat aerial and normal aerial. But beware, it only has one tuner, so if you want to switch from freesat to freeview you have to go searching through the setup menus to switch the input. You cant just switch it on the remote. Which brings me to the big gripe. There is no printed manual for what is actually quite a complicated tv. Yes, you can download it to your pc, and you can view the e-manual on screen.call me old fashioned, but its so much easier to refer to a written manual on you lap and play with the settings on screen. Its fairly easy to get going out of the box. Well, the basics anyway. Then the rocket science starts! It had loads of gimmicks, for example you can use voice commands, but they are so slow, and you need the remote in your hand anyway, so better to use that. The same goes for the hand held motion/pointer thing. Clunky at best. You can access the interweb, but its so slow and difficult to use. Stick with your PC! As for the Apps.... So far we have experienced several annoying problems. The text (teletext) is very erratic, seems to load in different ways, and constantly drops out of its own accord. The remote Info button doesnt display detailed program info, you have to use the ok button for that. The worst problem so far is that often the picture and sound are out of sync. This is variable, sometimes its ok, sometimes not. And the delay also varies in length. So i am not sure how effective the menu option to adjust this will be. Thats all quite negative, lets hope someone from Samsung reads these. On the plus side, the picture is good, but needs fine tuning. The sound is good to for such a small cabinet. And its stylish and nice and light. Is it worth it? Hmmmm....not sure yet. 08 June 2014
