Samsung quality
We previously had a 40' Samsung TV and upgraded to this 46' model. The first impression when on our TV stand at home was that physically it was not much bigger than our previous 40'. (Due to the small frame around the screen) Almost all screen, really good.
First impressions, the picture quality was amazing, wow, what a difference. The sound was ok, but much better with the sound bar connected( part of the John Lewis deal at the time).
3D, We have not used this much, but there is a Samsung App which has 3D content, some of these are really good. But I would not like to wear the glasses for long periods.
Internet, did not use this for the first few months, because our broadband speed was not really up to it. Just upgraded to BT Infinity, wow what a difference and great to use the smart functions and catch TV programmes that were missed.
Initially there was a problem getting BBC iPlayer to work, but this required a software, update, with the assistance of John Lewis and Samsung support this was resolved.
The hand control for the internet is not particularly user friendly, especially when imputing text which is slow. But I bought a cheap keyboard on Amazon which has got round the text problem.
Finally, John Lewis staff absolutely excellent. The picture quality excellent, being able to swivel the TV a great bonus. Overall an excellent TV. Very pleased with it. Any regrets? Wish I had bought the 55'.

Better than expected
I researched on line before purchasing this television, including prices.
John Lewis as usual with their 5 year guarantee could not be beaten.
This television which I installed over the Easter weekend, has exceeded my expectations, fantastic picture and and reasonable sound, although I had decided to purchase a Sonos sound bar which has improved the sound even more.
I have no hesitation in giving this television five stars.

Totally Hooked on the Samsung 6900
Having spent weeks deciding which TV to get I finally took the plunge on the Samsung. The build quality and picture are brilliant. Within 20 minutes the set was out of the box connected to the internet - updated and working. The menus are easy to follow and the remote is one of the best I've ever used.
The TV itself has natural but vibrant colours, once you adjust the default settings, and good blacks. Watching the HD channels is a pleasure on the Samsung .
I thought the 3D was a bit of a gimmick but having watched 3D films and ordinary freeview in 3D. I’m hooked.
The sound is much better than I had expected from such a thin TV though obviously lacks deep bass.
The smart hub has some interesting additions like iplayer, ITV player, Lovefilm, Netflix and a web browser.
The only downside I’ve come across is using the remote as a keyboard on web applications – tedious selecting character by character – but I’ll try a keyboard.
Overall I’m very satisfied with my purchase and my thanks to the John Lewis staff for their patience in helping me decide.

Excellent Smart 3D TV
Excellent picture quality and amazing active 3D effect. Lightweight, slim, elegant screen and stand. Very easy to install. Reasonable price for the quality.
We are delighted with this TV and would highly recommend it.

Top class TV
I was looking for the best TV picture I could obtain within my price range and I am not dissapointed. I was assured by John Lewis staff that the HD picture quality was the same as the top of the range Samsung model and they were correct. An excellent HD TV picture worthy of five stars and the best I have seen. I was not particularly interested in 3D but having watched both sport and other programs in 3D we are now completely hooked. The smart TV function is also very useful. I was not expecting much in the way of sound reproduction. from a flat screen TV, in fact the actual TV sound is far above my original expectation.

Stylish and functional
The Samsung ES6900 range is a stylish and very functional tv. It not only performs well with image quality but gives you access via WiFi to a host of on-screen apps that extend this tv into the social networking world as well as catch-up TV via BBC iPlayer.
With Freeview HD and Freesat HD there is a wide range of programmes to enjoy, all of which can be viewed in 3D if you wish.
