Sebo K1 Pet Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner
Having always thought Dysons are the best ones out there, I have been truly proven wrong. Our carpet hasn't looked this clean in a long time. It is easy to handle and light enough to manage the stairs. It also stores away quite neatly, so all in all an excellent purchase!

So Easy, So Powerful, So Light, So Clean!
Very well made vacuum cleaner that just does what it promises. So much quieter than the Dyson DC26 which the K1 Pet replaces. Lots of good suction thanks to its variable control dial/2100 watts and the long 2.1 metre hose is fantastic to get around with too. The change from bagless back to bags means, yes I may well have to purchase bags, but the amount of pet hair picked up isn't thrust in my face come the time to empty and there are no filter vents or shrouds to clean off! Both the bags and filters are easy to change as well.
The tubing in particular is fantastically lighter than anything I've used - and I've used quite a few. Even Miele's suction tubes are heavier than the Sebo and it makes the grade for this, when clearing out pet cages elevated off the floor as well as for general use in the home.
The K1 Pet only comes with a full sized turbo brush but there's a slider that adjusts for different carpet surfaces - it is wonderful for picking up dust on hard floors, the floor head is very light to glide, easy to get around corners and there's a squeegee built into which scoops all the dust up. I won't mind paying for extra tools for this machine. It doesn't come with a dusting brush, but on the basis that the 8 bags in a box are cheaper than Miele and you get twice the amount. John Lewis managed to get a dusting brush sent to me, which was good of them. It is the only tool that clips onto the tube there's a long crevice pipe which isn't very noisy in use, full size yet hides at the back whilst a T shaped tool on the top slides onto the crevice tool for cleaning upholstery. You also get a mini turbo brush which is ideal for pet hair and it also works wonders on carpeted stairs. I also use that tool in the car.
This isn't a full size vacuum cleaner though - the dust bags are rated 3.5 litres but I find I go through one dust bag every three months as opposed to more I've gone through with other brands.

I CANCELLED THIS ORDER AS SEBO PROVED EXTREMELY UNCO-OPERATIVE WHEN IT CAME TO DELIVERY TIMES. IN THE END. I BOUGHT THIS CLEANER FROM DIXONS BUT I HAVE TO SAY IT IS A DREADFUL CLEANER. GIVEN IT IS AIMED AT THOSE OF US WHO HAVE PETS, IT PRESUPPOSES THAT ONE MAY FROM TIME TO TIME WISH TO VACUUM CAT LITTER - NOT ONLY DOES THIS CLEANER NOT PICK UP CAT LITTER, THERE'S A HOST OF OTHER THINGS IT WON'T PICK UP EITHER - IT'S PERFECTLY FINE FOR DUST OR DUST BUNNIES OTHERWISE COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY USELESS. BUY A MIELE INSTEAD - WHY I CHANGED FROM A MIELE I WILL NEVER KNOW. THE MACHINE DOESN'T EVEN COME WITH A BRUSH ATTACHMENT EITHER. BE WARNED !!!

Great for pet hairs
I recently changed from an upright vacuum cleaner because I have laminate floors and found it awkward. This cleaner is very light and easy to use, and the performance is first class. Having two long haired cats means a constant battle with hair, not to mention all the debris carried in on their coats from the garden. A very good buy.
