Is beauty universal?

No matter where you are in the world, women want the same thing – to look like themselves, just prettier and more confident.

What are your beauty tips?

Concealer is the secret of the universe. Every woman should have a shade of lipstick that she can swipe on without looking in the mirror. A pop of blush is the quickest way to add a healthy glow to the face.

To what do you attribute your success?

I see myself as someone who had a very strong vision of what I wanted, and who was able to create it. And, I’m lucky enough to enjoy and be good at the same things.

What is a day in your life like?

It’s exciting and I’m always learning. I juggle developing new products and creating looks for seasonal campaigns with working on celebrities, editorial bookings, and fashion shows.

How do you find the balance between being a wife, mother, makeup artist, and business woman?

I try to keep everything in my life – whether it’s work or home – as simple as possible. And I’m very clear on what my priorities are.

What is personally most important to you?

My family.

What is your top style secret?

I like to be comfortable and relaxed.

What are your wardrobe staples?

A great black suit, white button-down shirts, cashmere sweaters in many colors, and bootcut jeans.
