Q & As

Silver Cross Reflex Pushchair, Sky 5 5 1 1
Son, and I, love it Purchased this because I wanted an umbrella fold stroller to use for runs to and from nursery. I had a shortlist of this and a McLaren xtr. Managed to find an xtr in store, and was really unimpressed by how stable it was and its lack of sturdiness. I knew the Reflex was heavier but decided to take a punt on ordering it unseen, and I'm really glad I did. The seat is really big, my 13 month olds feet don't even go off the end of the seat, when they've hung over every other pram. He loves just having the waist strap on, and hanging onto the bumper bar. That is also a great addition, and fantastic it can be left in place when the pram is folded. Recline is very good. I tend to have it fully upright all the time, but it will drop back to near horizontal. The basket is large, and even more can be put in it, if the seat is fully upright. Ride seems comfortable and stable. Copes well with bumping up and down kerbs. Big wheels are absolutely fine on grass too. The included rain cover is excellent, been out in one torrential downpour already, and not a single leak. A footmuff is included, which is good quality and fits well to the pram. Only caveat being that it only really fits "over" the legs, meaning nothing is actually wrapped around the legs. In real winter, you'd need something extra to keep the legs warm. The running lights are a bit of a novelty at the moment, but will be used when the days get shorter. The adjustable handles are a massive bonus, and at 6" 0 I find it very comfortable to push at maximum extension. Another plus is I don't find myself kicking the back of it when I walk ( like I have with every other stroller). 18 May 2014
