Rated 5 out of 5 Best Silver Cross product I've used!
As a Mum of two boys I've used quite a few pushchairs over the past two and half years, two of them Silver Cross products (the linear freeway and 3D#
We have had the opportunity to use the new Silver Cross Surf 2 for Baby Boy 2. It comes complete with carrycot attachment, which has been brilliant for overnight sleeping whilst on holiday. The Surf 2 can also be used as a travel system. However, I have not personally experienced this feature.
The pushchair seat has some great positions and I love that it can be both ‘world’ and ‘parent’ facing. The rain cover which fits both the carrycot and seat is simple to use, looks good and provides good coverage.
We also have the ‘Surf board’ #buggy board# for our two year old. The pushchair handle extends considerably to accommodate the Surf Board, which as plenty of surface area for Baby Boy 1 to stand on. It is also extremely easy to fit/remove.
Pushing the Surf 2 is a dream, and the fantastic suspension makes for a smooth ride for the baby regardless of terrain. Overall I am very impressed with the Surf 2, I really like some of the discrete ‘finishing touches’ of the design – the zip on the rain cover to access the baby without removing the whole rain cover. The magnets in the viewing window of the hood and on the apron. They silently say quality! I also like that the colour of the pram can be changed with the accessory packs. Therefore if you have more than one child you can change to suit gender for example.
For me the negatives #although very small) are; there is no option to fold with the seat on. The shopping basket is on the small side, and tricky to access when using the carrycot attachment. However, these would not prevent me from choosing the Surf 2 over other products. The Surf 2 has everything you would expect from a quality brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MattandClare Best Travel System on the market
We wanted a travel system which offered us:
- Good Value for money. Some systems are so expensive and at the other end the cheaper ones are heavy to push and break easily;
- Looks stylish
- Safety and comfort at the heart of its design. Obviously paramount for your newborn. In particular we wanted a travel system with some form of suspension to avoid the discomfort of all those bumps!
- Lightweight and easy to push / turn
- Easy to erect and collapse.
With the above in mind we were overwhelmed by the choice on the market. However, there was only 1 travel system which ticked all of the boxes for us. That was the "Surf 2" and we have no regrets with our purchase.
It is great value for money, looks great, the baby loves it (in fact he prefers it to his moses basket!), and it is a pleasure to push.
Our friends all comment on how lightweight the travel system is and how the rubber tyres and suspension provide the baby with far superior ride quality. We enjoy walking and on the rough gravely country parks paths this is a very important feature. Other travel systems do not have rubber tyres and several of our friends have had to replace their systems due to damage to the wheels.
In addition to the carrycot and chair the chasis can also be used with the "Simplicity Infant Carrier". I would recommend making this additional purchase to complete your travel system. We can now take the baby out of the car, add the infant carrier to the chasis without even waking our newborn.
I think it is also important to mention the system is easy to assemble when you receive it, and even easier to operate on a daily basis.
We also puchased the matching Silver Cross Bag (in the same blue colour) so we have a full matching set which looks great.
I would recommend this product to anyone and save yourself some time over looking through the wealth of other choices on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AlbasMummy A brilliant investment pram system
When I received the parcel, full of anticipation, my hopes were not dashed. A box of lavish chrome and black, it screamed out luxury.
Putting the pram together was easy, and I managed it alone in the time it took for my 2 week old daughter to have her morning hours nap. It was so straightforward and the components and their use is all common sense, so no struggling in the rain trying to find out how to attach things! The brake pedal is nice and big and loose, and the release is a green button- it is so obvious. As is attaching the carrycot to the chassis – a big red button ensures that even the most sleep deprived new parent could figure it out.
Attachments are included both for newborn stage in a carrycot, older baby forward facing for valuable face to face time, as well as front facing for inquisitive toddlers. I have personally only used the carrycot so far, and my baby loves the plush snuggly mattress. The hood and apron colour combinations are fab and it was difficult to choose, but eventually went with aubergine. It’s a great gender neutral colour so would suit a ‘yellow bump’ or those forward planners thinking of further babies!
Our first outing was to the aquarium and there was plenty of room in the basket underneath for everything we needed to get us through the day. I also purchased a Silver Cross changing bag, so we were all set for our journey. I noticed that the pram is the perfect size for days out, manoeuvres fantastically and getting to our location was a smooth dream for baby with the ultra bouncy suspension. Worries about punctures were out thanks to the puncture proof wheels. The handle also extends if you are 6 foot parents like we are- which was definitely lacking in other models we tested out.
In summary I am absolutely over the moon with the Silver Cross Surf 2. I’m looking forward to it coming along with my daughter and I on our journey together – Silver Cross have absolutely proved themselves as the ultimate luxury British brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by genuineplacebo A truly beautiful pushchair!
I've used quite a few pushchairs over the last three years and this has to be my favourite.
The new Silver Cross Surf 2 comes complete with carrycot attachment so to turn it into a travel system you would only need the car seat.
The pushchair hood is really big with a great viewing window and plenty of cover from the sun. The rain cover is simple to fit and does the job fantastically.
The pushchair handle extends considerably to accommodate the Surf Board buggy board which is a great extra purchase if, like us, you have a toddler. The extending handle would also be great for taller people.
The Surf 2 pushes so easily and turns on the smallest of turning circles. The suspension is fantastic and gives a smooth ride over any ground.
My only criticisms would be the fold can be tricky at first, it doesn't fold with the seat attached and the basket is on the small side but none of these would be deal breakers for me - The Silver Cross Surf 2 is such a beautiful pushchair I would buy it again in an instant!
