Before baby was born I really wanted to find a way we could co-sleep, to get all the benefits, whilst knowing that he was safe. On discovering the Sleepyhead I knew this was the answer for us. He is 9 weeks old now and sleeps really well in his Sleepyhead next to me in bed. I love how I can rest me head on the side of the pod to be so close to him but also stretch out knowing that he is safe. I also love how it cossets him and makes him feel secure.
We live between two countries and also travel a lot so it really easy to take with us and not have to worry about having a cot set up somewhere for him. It has also been great so far for tummy time which has helped him learn to raise his head himself.
Another reason why I am so glad we bought the Sleepyhead was that I ended up having a cesarean and would not have coped at all having to get out of bed throughout the night to feed him – I just lifted him out whilst lying down and fed him.

"A week after the birth of my daughter I discovered the sleepyhead. I debated whether or not to buy it as I thought it was too pricy.
My little one sleeps great during the day in her moses basket, but at night I am lucky to get an hour sleep. So I finally decided to take the chance on the sleepyhead deluxe. What a difference, she is so calm in it and I actually have to wake her for feeds!
In fact it is so wonderful that I just ordered the larger model as well even though I won't use it until she is 8 months. Worth every penny! Not only is the quality great, so are my silent nights.
Now I just have to get rid of that moses basket ;)

I'm writing this review with one of my very well rested twin babies chatting away on my lap! We first purchased a sleepyhead deluxe for one of our girls who was a couple of months old and had problems falling and staying asleep due to her startle reflex. The first night in her sleepyhead saw a marked improvement in her sleep, so much so that we went and brought another one the next day for the other twin. We haven't looked back since,
You can use the sleepyheads in their cots, on your bed, on the sofa, pretty much anywhere! Our two used to have their naps in the lounge so we were able to use the sleepyheads downstairs for a few weeks before they helped us transition to the babies napping in their cots. I still bring them down in their sleepyheads in the morning, they are so settled in them I'm able to get breakfast and get their breakfast ready while they chatter to their toys in their sleepyheads.
We also use their sleepyheads whenever we go away and always have a very settled nights sleep - I'm sure the sleepyheads make them feel like they are still at home wherever we are.
The extra sleep we've gained since we purchased these has been well worth the money we paid and we'll definitely be buying the grande in a few months time!

My son loves the sleepyhead, I had previously bought a Moses basket and carrycot and he would not settle! He is very cosy and snuggly in the sleepyhead and I use it inside his cot. I know he's safe and secure so it gives me piece of mind. It's also great for using in the day for playtime too. I've now bought the deluxe version!

You really cant put a price on sleep! I was recommended this product by a friend after s number of sleepless nights. Our little boy would not sleep through the night in his moses basket but has been more than happy with the Sleepyhead mattress sleeping 12-6am (he's only 3 weeks old!) The only reason i do not give this product 5 stars is because of the material. The nylon material i think has made our little one sweat, i've since put a cotton pillow case down on top to help prevent sweat rashes!

I bought this before the birth of our baby and my husband thought was a total waste of money and we would never use it..
A few weeks later when we arrived home from hospital, dazed with a new born, we stood in the lounge and said 'where do we put the baby now?'
Off I went to get out the sleepyhead, placed our baby in it and she seemed to snuggle in and relax and she slept.
She was not one that liked to be swaddled as she always wanted her hands around her head or mouth, but in this she would settle with seemingly enough pressure on her sides to make her feel secure, like a constant gentle cuddle.
It fitted snuggly into the crib at night and was brought downstairs each day for napping and tummy time until she grew out of it (unfortunately at 6 months)
It's slightly tricky to change the cover the first time, but once you know how to do it, its a doddle.
It maybe slightly expensive, but I honestly don't think you can put a price on sleep. It is the best thing we purchased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by emmaann Expensive, but could be worth it!
My first baby slept in a moses basket, I could feed her, wind her, put her down and she was happy. I assumed that was what babies did. She wasn't a great sleeper though and would wake often.
My second arrived and her favourite place was on me to sleep. She did this for ages, which felt like a lifetime, then I managed to get her to sleep on the bed, and eventually the moses basket, then eventually the cot, again, not a great sleeper, and still isn't.
My third arrived and she was similar, liked to be on me, or snuggled next to me. I dithered for ages about getting the sleepyhead, mainly because I felt it was a lot of money for something which may not last very long or may not work. I wouldn't have hesitated as much if it fit in a moses basket or was more bed like as you still need to put it in the bed next to you (ideal for co-sleeping) or in the cot (not so easy to access the baby in the early days).
I was bought it as a gift from a family member when my little one was about 4 weeks old. She didn't settle initially, and I would have to try and slide her in from my arm, or lie very close to her!
However, she is now 14 weeks and since about 8 weeks she has slept from 10pm-7am.
Now, don't get me wrong, we may have finally on our third child got a sleeper, or I could be lured into a false sense of security and it could all change in a few weeks, or it could be the sleepyhead, but to be honest, I'm not worried, something has worked whether it is that or not, I will never know, but I will take it for now!
I wouldn't bother with a spare cover, i put a cot sheet over it and wrap it round, they are very expensive.
The resale value of the sleepyhead seems to be good, so I would say it is likely that half of the money could be made back.
The only downsides I would say is the initial outlay as it is expensive. The other is it needs to go somewhere, so it isn't like you could purchase it instead of a moses basket or crib.
If you can afford it...give it a try :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Linguine Cozy sleeping product
We got this while I was expecting, so our little one slept in this from day one.
He is a very good sleeper. I don't know if this is because of the pod, or he would have been a good sleeper anyway, but he started sleeping10 hours through the night by around 8 weeks old and that's still about average now.
The only reason I am not giving this product 5/5 is because it is described as being suitable for up to 8 months.
There is no way this product would suit an average 8 month old because they would get so cramped up in it, shoulders and arms all squished in.
Our boy outgrew this product at 4 months (he's not a huge baby), and wasn't happy in it, so we've ordered the Grand!
In my opinion This product should be sold as "Suitable up to 6 months" and it should be at least £25 cheaper.
