Sleepyhead Deluxe Bed Guard, White
Best baby purchase by far!
The Sleepyhead Deluxe has been a marvel - our newborn daughter hated her moses basket as the sides were high and she couldn't see me when going to sleep. Since ordering the Sleepyhead she has been a different baby: she sleeps next to me in bed, can look over and see me to feel reassured and close, and self-settles easily. It's great for me too, as every morning I can wake up and see her smiling face right next to mine, knowing she's safe and snug in her little nest.
Thank you for making such a wonderful product - we are looking forward to purchasing your new Grand model in a few months time, so hopefully John Lewis will be stocking it soon!

Worth its weight in gold !!!
Our baby is now 10 months old and still sleeps in her Sleepyhead. She is a small baby (25th centile) but is quite long, so it has been fully opened since she was 5 months old. As with other reviewers comments our baby would not settle in her Moses basket, but from the first night in her the Sleepyhead (at 6 weeks old) she slept for 6 hours overnight. I stumbled across this by accident on the John Lewis website in my sleep deprived state scouring the internet for some inspiration and haven't looked back since. The replacement covers wash extremely well, however; your patience is tested when they require a change. I just wished that I stumbled across the Sleppyhead sooner.

Found this whilst searching for an alternative Moses basket for my newborn. My older child hated the Moses basket which caused several sleepless nights in the early days and we wanted to avoid this situation again.
What can I say? We purchased the Sleepyhead for our 2nd child and haven't looked back. Our newborn has slept in it since birth, day and night. So happy with this product and would thoroughly recommend to new parents.

Used from birth here, there and everywhere on a boat!
We really wanted to try the Sleepyhead Deluxe as we were looking for a sleep solution for our impending arrival that would enable us to co-sleep with confidence as we are first-time parents. Also, we are in the slightly unusual situation of living on board a sailboat and sailing around the world.
Our little girl is coming up to 7 months old now and we have nothing but good things to say about this product. We've found it to be versatile as we needed to use it sooner than planned as our baby arrived three weeks early while we were living in a hostel in Guadalajara! It provided a secure, snug sleeping place for her when she was a teeny 5lbs 2oz / 2.35kgs and still does now at 15lbs / 7kgs.
We've taken it on planes, trains and buses so she can have her same familiar bed everywhere we go. We've successfully co-slept in lots of different places as well as in our bed on the boat.
It's a soft, safe sleep space and so useful as a place for her to hang out (really easy to hang a mobile or something above it); it's great for tummy time and she still likes to sit in it even now that she's sitting up. The materials are all easily washable and we've put that to the test with nappies leaking on it, baby drool and milk all proving to come out at the first wash.
Plus it's fantastic in a rolly anchorage!
The only slight downside is that the bag it comes in is not very sturdy and it would be good if it were made of more robust materials as we've travelled so extensively with it. I mentioned this to the company and they've taken all my comments on board and are in the process of developing something stronger.
I must remark that the company has really excellent customer service as they were able to help get a Sleepyhead to us all the way to Mexico.
At first glance it may seem expensive but we feel that it's really worthwhile as a quality piece of kit for your baby as we haven't used anything else for the first 7 months of her life so it really is outstanding value for money.

My baby didn't like it at all
I was so looking forward to receiving this Sleepyhead and putting my baby in it after reading, what were mostly excellent reviews, but sadly she just doesn't like it and every time we put her in it she wakes up after a couple of minutes crying. I thought as she liked the cosy feeling of her car seat that she would like this too and feel nice and snug and secure, but unfortunately not. A lot of money to waste if they just don't like it!

We got this product 2 days after our daughters birth, we we're sleep deprived and desperate!!! We had resorted to having her sleep on our chests just to stop her crying. We got this product as it's safe for co-sleeping. We had her between us , in the sleepy, for a while but it does take up quite a bit of room and my other half was uncomfortable. Now she sleeps in it on top of our chest of draws with the sensor mat underneath. She really settled in it and it was a god send!!! We are able to move it around the house easily as it's light. Also the cover is removable and washable, the extra covers are a ridiculous price so we put a blanket underneath instead.
All in all I'd whole heartidly recommend.

Good (if small) but our baby hated it
Decent product and a good idea for carrying around the house and keeping baby cosy. Unfortunately our baby likes to flail her arms around and she cried and woke up every time we put her in this, plus it already seemed small after six weeks when we gave up. We then gave it to a friend whose baby absolutely loves it and sleeps well in it. Would be worth trying before you buy as it's an expensive mistake if baby doesn't like it.

Extremely effective but rapidly outgrown
Having read the incredible reviews for this product, we decided to buy one for our baby from birth, not bothering with a Moses basket. Our daughter slept well from the outset, comfortably sleeping for longer stints than friends' babies. It kept her lovely and snug and cosy. However, I've rated it four stars rather than five for two reasons: firstly, as per the previous reviewer, our baby had grown too long for this in under three months so we have had less use from it than we perhaps expected (and our baby is not huge- on the 75th percentile for length). Secondly it is quite a tussle to get the covers back on after washing- so not the easiest item to put back together. However, I think these are probably small concerns overall if they give new parents the gift of some decent nights' sleep and I would not hesitate to recommend this to others!
