Q & As

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 101 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by A must- have in every nursery! Our baby has been in his sleepyhead since birth, a fantastic buy and worth the money. During the early days we used the sleepyhead downstairs instead of a Moses basket and then carried it up when we went to bed and placed into his crib. He's 4 months now and just starting to get too big for the smaller size. Don't buy the expensive sheets to fit, we just bought 'travel cot' sized fitted sheets and they do the job perfectly. 20 August 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Snug alternative to Moses basket Comfy, did what we wanted but expensive and won't last very long! We bought the sleepyhead as our newborn was struggling to be put down to sleep. He wanted to be held all of the time and would wake upon being put down. The sleepyhead is cushioned for comfort and snuggles around his body so he feels a bit like he is being held. The product is quite expensive and hasn't lasted long as our baby is now 10 weeks old, weighing 12 lbs and has almost outgrown it! There's no way he's going to be able to sleep in it up until 8 months, which is what the product claims. 18 August 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Useful but not essential for us Useful as a portable place to put baby whilst awake or asleep, however it didn't help with night time sleep as he wanted to be able to spread his arms and legs which he couldn't do in the Sleepyhead. He slept better on his normal mattress. Also had to I clip the bottom at around 1 month old and now at 13 weeks his feet are at the bottom even though it is unclipped. I have given it 4 stars as it has been useful in the day time and is very good quality, although the cover is extremely difficult to put back on once you have taken it off, so we usually just put a normal crib sheet over it rather than purchasing extra covers. This is obviously something which will work for some but not others, but is a rather expensive trial and error! 24 July 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic. Does exactly what it says. My new born sleeps well in it. Recommend buying a spare cover for nappy leaks. The waterproof mattress cover definitely works! 08 July 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super Our baby is very happy sleeping in this, and it is great to think that we can put this anywhere we might go overnight for him to sleep in. 07 July 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Emperor's new clothes? We bought this just before the birth of our second child because our first child was a really poor sleeper. After reading dozens of positive reviews we figured it was worth a punt if it helped baby 2 settle more comfortably. The Sleepyhead is a perfectly acceptable but comically expensive...cushion. After 16 weeks of use I cannot see that it has any magical properties. Unfortunately our second daughter is exactly like the first and will not settle on any surface which isn't a parent in the day time. She will sleep in the Sleepyhead at night, but she will also settle in cots and Moses baskets when we are away so we know that she does not sleep better in the Sleepyhead than other beds. Like many babies at 16 weeks she wakes on average 4-6times a night and needs to be breastfed back to sleep each time. To be fair to the manufacturers they make no false claims about their magic cushion. Their website just tells you the Sleepyhead is a cushion which is versatile because it can be moved around the house (unlike other cushions???) and what it is made of. The excitement about Sleepyhead is generated entirely by reviews from parents - all except this one. Presumably some babies learn to settle at about the same time their parents in desperation spend huge amounts of money on magic cushions, some people want to justify their expensive purchases by claiming they live up to the hype. In future I will be much more cautious. 24 June 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by AMAZING We bought this for our 3 week old son as he would only fall asleep while being cuddled / in his swing. The crib was too open for him to feel secure. The first night we used the sleepyhead he went down no problems...Life saver. He is now 6 weeks old, we have used this every night in the snuzpod and he has slept average from 11pm - 5pm! If you are unsure whether to purchase due to price - buy it! You won't regret it. 12 May 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by An absolute must have I cannot recommend this product highly enough and its the one item amongst all the new baby paraphernalia that you buy, that really is worth it. Our baby was only 4 lbs when she was born and she looked so tiny in her bed side cot and wouldn't sleep or settle in the hospital or at home. The sleepyhead changed all that and made her feel secure. She slept through the night from 4 months old and we haven't looked back. We love that the sleepyhead is portable and we had it downstairs on the kitchen table in the very early days as she was totally secure in it. We took it on holiday and to the grandparents' house. Our little girl slept happily in a strange cot and room because she was in her familiar sleepyhead. It washes well and dries quickly - whats not to love?! We have now purchased the next size up and love it just as much. 07 May 2015
