Sleepyhead Deluxe Bed Guard, White 4.8 5 66 66
Great for making baby feel snuggly My daughter (19 weeks old) loves this as I think it helps her feel cuddled/ secure as she sleeps. We moved to the Sleepyhead after her Cocoonababy became too small. Given a 4 star instead of 5 as the only negative I can find with this product is the price of spare sheets. 08 July 2014
Best baby purchase I read the reviews on the Sleepyhead and decided to purchase this over a moses basket, which seemed to me to have a short useful life. Friends insisted I would need a moses basket for the first few weeks because the baby would feel secure in it and I could take it with me from room to room so he would be with us wherever we were while he slept. I ignored all advice and went with my instinct and I was right, this has been hands down the best purchase we made. Our son slept his best nights in the Sleepyhead. He felt completely at home in it from day one. He loved the coziness of it which kept him secure and cocooned but not restricted. We travelled with it not only from room to room, but from the UK to the in laws abroad and it provided him with a consistent familiar bed within a bed, so to speak. It took the place of a mattress in the rented crib nest we had for the first six months, it was also a familiar surround for nights spent in unfamiliar guest rooms, and subsequently helped him transition to the cot which suddenly felt vast in comparison to his crib. My well meaning friends then got one by the second or third month, because their little ones simply wouldn't settle in the moses basket. It worked and they all wished they had bought one sooner! Yes it is expensive but worth every penny. I would not necessarily buy extra covers for it. I did think the price of extra covers was over the top. We washed and tumble dried the original cover when needed and whilst the border bumper is a little tricky to zip back in initially, by the second or third time, it took just minutes to put back together. Our son is now 7.5 months and has only just grown out of it. The tell tale was when he pushed himself over the top of the head area and rolled around and over it like it was not there; we knew then that it had served its fantastic purpose but he was ready to lay claim to the vast expanse of his cot. It is packed up, taking little storage space, ready for number two. 20 May 2014
Turn any surface into a bed! We love our sleepyhead as it's portable, comfortable and safe. The base is padded and the sausage sides stop the baby from rolling off. The only downside is when you remove the cover to wash, it's difficult to get back on! 20 May 2014
Best buy I purchased this based on previous reviews. Our baby has been in the Sleepyhead from birth. He is now 4 weeks old and we have discarded the Moses basket as he settles himself and sleeps far better in this. I cannot recommend this enough, after a week of disturbed nights the sleepyhead has given us the much needed sleep we as parents need. John Lewis, hurry up and stock the Sleepyhead Grandé so we can get that one too!!!! 07 May 2014
Handy for travel I bought this as a friend recommended it and I had been given gift vouchers for John Lewis. The sleepyhead is useful - I occasionally use it on the sofa so I know baby won't roll onto the floor, or on my bed as it is easier to pick baby up for nighttime feeds than from his basket, but the most useful was when I went away for a few days and was sleeping in a twin room - I just took the sleepyhead and baby's sleeping bag/gro-bag and he had a place to sleep. I have now put it into baby's cot in his nursery and I put him in it for naps so he gets used to his room before it's time for him to move out of mine in a few months. This is a good product but in my opinion too expensive for what it is - I would not have bought it had I not had the vouchers. 05 May 2014
Changed our lives The sleepyhead is quite honestly the best item we have purchased for our son. He has been in the sleepyhead since he was 10 weeks old and he is still in it now (he's 7 months) He would not sleep anywhere but on my chest from day one and would not go in his Moses basket or cot. Since we bought this product he has gone from 7pm -7am every night. It's a life saver. Sleepyhead is so good I will be buying the larger version when it's released! 29 April 2014
Excellent! I have never written a review for anything I have bought, but was compelled to do so for this product. We purchased the sleepyhead when our daughter was 10 days old, as she refused to sleep anywhere other than on my chest. As she was very small when she was born the moses basket was too big for her and so we looked at solutions to make the space she slept in cosier. The sleepyhead was ideal - it is safe for co-sleeping so for the first few nights we put it between us in our bed and then moved her into the moses basket in it, and eventually into her cot. She has only just outgrown it at 18 weeks old! My favourite thing about the Sleepyhead was the ease of transport - we have taken it with us and used in travel cots when we have stayed away from home so that our daughter could settle in unfamiliar environments. It is washable (although as other reviewers have mentioned, the covers are a pain to put back on!) and it does extend a little bit using the clip at the bottom so we were able to maximise the usage we got from it. I wish they did one for the next 'size' up! In short - yes it may seem expensive for what is essentially a mattress with bolster pillow, but for the hours of sleep we had due to it I would pay ten times the price! Absolutely essential bit of baby kit for us, comes highly recommended! 27 April 2014
Good quality product I bought this to help my 12 week old baby transition into his crib from a co-sleeping crib and also for use when travelling (with travel bed rail). My baby likes it, it makes him feel like he's being held I think. It was also helpful when transitioning him from swaddling. It's quite snug but you can unclip the bottom when they start to look cramped at the end. Will definitely use from birth with any future babies. 23 April 2014
