If you are unsure whether or not to buy this - definite must have! My now 5 month old baby was so tiny when she was born that without this item we would have got no sleep whatsoever. She is just over 5 months and has started to grow out of it. I considered buying the next size up but she seems to have settled fine in her cot. I have no doubts that this product has saved us from experiencing a lot of sleepless nights in the early months and it has helped mould her into a great sleeper! I used along with the Snuzpod, however a chepaer crib would do the trick.

Having had a baby who would not go into his crib or moses basket I was determined not to have the same problem with my second baby. My friend recommended this product and due to the price I was apprehensive but I must say that it has been worth every penny. Our 4 week old baby would not settle into his crib but will lie in the Sleepyhead for naps during the day and night. It isn't the answer to my prayers that I was hoping for in that he is only sleeping for 2 hours or so (although he has done 4 hours a couple of times) but this is probably due to his age rather than the product. It is essential that you buy a separate extra cover as it gets dirty easily especially if you have a sickly baby. My husband found it easy to change the cover. It can be used all around the house and as a travel cot. The only negative to this product is that it doesn't come with a British kite mark and our health visitor questioned whether it was safe. This has been a great worry to us but I note that it has passed Swedish and USA tests. I hope it is approved by British testers in due course as this would give additional peace of mind. Despite this, having done our research I am satisfied that it is safe and would not hesitate in recommending it to any new parent.

This product is so expensive for what is basically a pillow but it works! It's cosy for baby to sleep in and we have found it useful for safe co-sleeping. The replacement covers are expensive too so that price needs to be factored in.

Brought this for newborn baby. Light and portable so easy for day time naps and night time so very helpful in the early days.
However our son is on the 75th percentile, so at 11 weeks he had outgrown sleepyhead not in length but width, shoulders just fit but arms now have to sit up on the mattress as opposed to by his side so no longer suitable.

Our newborn daughter did not take to her moses basket at all, so we purchased this Sleepyhead pod as a co-sleeping option until she was big enough for the cotbed. It was perfect, I think the design makes it very snug for baby so they sleep comfortably and longer!, we moved it into crib for easy transition, which worked, and now because the pod is so lightweight and portable we keep for travelling. Cover comes off easily for cleaning.
Have already highly recommended to friends & family.

Purchased this product for my baby who would not sleep anywhere that wasn't my arms. She took to it very well in the day and I can now put her down for a nap. However it hasn't helped with nighttime sleep.
I wish I'd gotten one sooner but contrary to some reviews the sleepyhead won't immediately make your baby sleep for long periods!

We bought this for our 2week old daughter as she wouldn't settle in her bednest. After many sleepless nights, she settled straightaway in this and we use it during the day for naps as well as in her bednest at night. Midwives and health visitors are not sure about this product yet as it hasn't had full safety tests, but it works so well for us that we'll keep using it. Main concern seems to be about overheating so we just use a light cellular blanket on top.

We bought the John Lewis Moses basket for our little boy and he did not settle in it at all. We tried everything from swaddling to trying to pad out the basket (HV suggestion). I bought everything that said would help my baby sleep and I wished I hadn't bothered wasting my money.
We reluctantly bought the sleepyhead and never looked back. He settled for a lot longer in the sleepyhead and sleeping improved. This could of course be due to his age but I highly doubt it. The only downside is that our baby is quite big so he pretty much outgrew this one within 6 months. We did try and put him straight into his cot but again he did not settle so we ended up buying the larger sleepyhead for him.
Don't waste your money buying anything else just get this or put it down on your list as a special present because everything else is pretty cheap in comparison to this.
