Terms & Conditions

1. Cancellation notice:
We are unable to accept cancellations or returns on hampers, chocolates or wine gifts owing to the perishable nature of the product. This does not affect your statutory rights in the event of faulty goods, and we will be happy to provide you with a full refund or exchange in this event.

2. Prices:
All prices include VAT and duty (where applicable).

3. Supply:
All hamper contents and mixed wine cases are fully listed and every effort is made to supply the items shown. However, in the event of supply difficulties, we reserve the right to make substitutions with items of equal or greater value. All sizes are approximate. All items subject to availability. This does not affect your statutory rights. You must be over 18 years of age to order from John Lewis Solutions for Business.

4. Offensive Weapon Act:
Under this act, it is an offence to sell knives or knife blades to persons under the age of 18. These products are only available for customers aged 18 or over. Customers should not order these items for persons under 18.

5. Licensing Act:
Please note that by law, products containing alcohol are only available to order for customers aged 18 or over.

6. Orders:
John Lewis reserves the right to refuse to accept an order and also reserves the right to immediately suspend the fulfillment of an order if the customer is in breach of any of these terms and conditions.

7. Allergy warning:
Some products may contain nuts or nut oil.

General

1. Brand protection:
No trade mark, service mark, corporate name or other trading name of John Lewis plc or any of its subsidiary companies may be used by a customer without that customer first obtaining the prior written permission of John Lewis.

2. Variation:
John Lewis reserves the right to alter any of these terms and conditions but undertakes that before so doing it will serve a reasonable notice upon the customer. The customer may not vary the terms and conditions and any attempt to vary these terms and conditions will not be affective unless it is in writing and signed on behalf of John Lewis.

3. Severance:
If any of the provisions of these terms and conditions shall be found by any court to be invalid or unenforceable such invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect the other provisions of these terms and conditions which shall remain in full force and effect.

4. Waiver:
No waiver by us shall be construed as a waiver of any proceeding or succeeding breach of any provision of these terms and conditions.

5. Third parties:
A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions will acquire no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce or take the benefit of any of these terms and conditions.

6. Jurisdiction:
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Gift card and gift voucher
Terms & Conditions

John Lewis plc will supply gift cards and gift vouchers in accordance with these terms and conditions. For the avoidance of doubt all other terms whether contained or referred to in a customer’s order or in any other document, are hereby excluded.

1. Delivery:
Whenever possible gift cards and gift vouchers will be despatched on the day following the day the order was placed subject to that order being received by John Lewis prior to 11am. If an order is received after 11am the vouchers will be despatched within 2 working days. The time/ date of despatch and delivery to a customer is not of the essence. All gift cards and gift vouchers will be delivered by secure means to the address given by the customer at the time the order was placed. Please note, for all orders over £7,500 delivery may take longer due to the increased security measures which will be put into place. The customer must notify John Lewis of any discrepancy in a delivery as soon as possible but in any event within 3 days of the delivery of the gift cards or vouchers.

2. Payment:
Payment can be made by credit/debit card, BACS or CHAPS. Orders will only be fulfilled upon receipt of cleared funds.

3. Risk: 
Risk of loss, destruction or damage to the gift cards or gift vouchers remains with John Lewis until delivery to the customer’s address or nominated address where upon risk shall pass to the customer or recipient.

4. Complaints and Queries:
Once ordered, gift cards and gift vouchers are treated as cash and shall not be replaced or refunded by John Lewis in the event of loss, damage or theft.

5. Gift cards and gift vouchers:
Gift cards and gift vouchers cannot be used to discharge indebtedness in respect of a John Lewis/Waitrose account card or partnership card™ nor can they be used for the purchase either directly or indirectly of any financial product or service. Gift cards and vouchers may not be redeemed for cash in any circumstances. Gift cards and gift vouchers are not sold on a sale or return basis and no return will be permitted unless it can be demonstrated that John Lewis has been in error in fulfilling the customer’s order.

6. Discount:
John Lewis reserves the right to withhold discounts where it believes that gift cards and gift vouchers are not being used as genuine personal or corporate gifts..
