Q & As

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by a great little camera I was after a camera which gave good results, particularly in low light. With it's large sensor this fits the bill perfectly - So for image quality I would give 5 stars, but have dropped it to 4 because although the screen is adequate (and the tilt helps), it is not as quite as it could be. 28 April 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent camera The photo quality is excellent and the camera is extremely easy to use (especially for me as I consider myself to be a bit of a novice) 10 March 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Camera I wanted a high quality camera at a reasonable price but something that was not overly technical - I think I got exactly what I had hoped for. Would highly recommend it. 12 February 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Smashing little camera Well easy to use and clear well focused pics every time. Wireless tx of data to computer quick and easy. Can't fault this little gem. Recharging easy and Bought a nice compact case cheaply. Couldn't afford the Sony case!!! 03 February 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very impressed! I bought this camera for home use and it provides me everything I need and more. The quality of the pictures are honestly better than I expected and there are many filters to play around with. This camera is great for somebody with little experience as it takes beautiful pictures without having to fiddle around with all the different settings. It's movie mode also captures brilliant footage and I couldn't be more pleased. If you're looking for a great quality camera that is of a reasonable price and is compact and user-friendly, this camera is for you! 29 December 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by impressive, but ..... I wanted a camera which enabled me to determine aperture, shutter speed, ISO etc which the A5000 does. However, to my amazement - and disappointment - the camera takes better pictures when just left alone to figure everything out itself. It is, after all, a computer with a lens. So far, I have been impressed with the quality of the pictures it takes - particularly twilight and night shots and the WIFI function is actually useful and not a gimmick. However, I cant help feeling that I should have spent the additional money and bought a camera with a view finder. Although the LCD screen is very good and rotates usefully, it is no substitute for a viewfinder. Other than that, its a good camera with a versatile lens and small enough to be taken almost everywhere. 16 September 2014
