Lenses & Cases
One of the biggest advantages of this camera is the sheer shooting flexibility on offer. You can use additional lenses to take wide-angle, telephoto, or close-up shots to suit just about any situation. The shorter the focal length (measured in mm), the wider the view will be – the longer the focal length, the more telescopic the picture. Q & As

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great purchase Easy to use and everything your need for an amateur photographer - the only downside would be that it would be nice if it came with a more powerful lens 13 May 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Really versatile! I wanted something light and good quality to carry around instead of my very heavy Nikon D200. Results are brilliant as is convenience. With Fotodiox adaptors I can use ALL of my Nikkor and Pentax lenses from 1973 onwards, so I instantly have 8 prime lenses of superb quality. Switch on shutter release without lens and focus peaking, use aperture priority or manual exposure. Focus is manual with focus peaking on screen. You will not find better. 10 February 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great camera Love the camera it does everything I could wish for however had great difficulty registering and claiming cash back on the Internet. The whole internet set up is hopeless. Spoken to Sony on a number of occasions and still not received the cash flack. 10 February 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by My go to camera I've had this camera for about 2 months now and I absolutely love it. It's compact, easy to take everywhere and the image quality is on par with some full frame rivals. I have full frame canon cameras (5DmkII, 6D) and the A6000 with the Sony 50mm Sony lens rivals the image quality of the 5DmkII (I'd say the 6D is better in low light). The 16-50mm lens is really good for a kit lens (and very small) but I opted to by the 50mm for the wide aperture and I love this combo on my camera. It's so much lighter than my canon cameras, I can take the A6000 and 2 lenses everywhere in jacket pockets and therefore they go everywhere and it doesn't weigh me down at all. 06 February 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Close but not there yet On the whole this camera is very good. Its tiny considering the features available and the auto focus is very good, the frame rate is very very fast but some features are just daft. The auto exposure bracketing and the self timer are on the same menu option, so you can only use one or the other. The remote smart phone app doesn't allow much more than pressing the shutter button or using the self timer. This is very primitive compared to what I was used to with Canon. The external hot shoe isn't compatible with other Sony/Minolta flash guns unless you splash out extra on an adapter. I'm not sure how Sony managed to get 420 shots out of the battery, I'm getting closer to 200 (not a very good number). 20 May 2014
