Made for audio
Hear clear, full-range sound from a compact Bass Reflex speaker inside your TV. There's no distortion or unwanted vibration even when the action gets loud.

Screen mirroring
Through a simple wireless connection, screen mirroring lets you view your videos, photos, and more on your TV.

Built-in wall mount
The TV's integrated stand doubles as a wall-mounting bracket, so there's no need to go out and buy one. Please note, this TV is not compatible with other, external brackets

Sound Bars

With TVs getting slimmer and built-in speakers getting smaller - choosing the right sound system is more important than ever. Sound bars add that extra audio punch to all your movies, games and TV programmes. More affordable and easier to set up than a full size speaker system, they don’t compromise on quality either.

Excellent product + no more start up lag! I would first like to praise the JL sales staff who sold me this tv. The gentlemen was super super helpful, gave me all the info i needed and didn't even try to upsell me (too much) after hearing what i wanted.. brilliant! Secondly, the TV is EXCELLENT! I have a few LED TVs, samsung and panasonic but this beats them by far! I use it solely for gaming and the picture quality is superb! The sound was a little off when first plugged in but i tweaked the settings quickly (very easy to do) and now its perfect! I also experiences this lag when first turning on the TV where it would not respond to remote functions for about 10-15 seconds. Sony released a software update yesterday which has completely cured the problem! Obviously you will need a wifi internet connection to perform this update but the problem is now solved so there is absolutely no problems with this TV!! 30 November 2014
Have TVs improved over the last 18 years? Bought to replace an 18 year old Panasonic 36" c.r.t. whose only crime was an inability to display the HD required for an x box to play Minecraft split screen. I always research things like this to death. 'Expert' reviews are great to assess the technical capabilities of something on a test bench but user reviews are invaluable when it comes to living with something. All the 'expert' reviews pointed me to a Samsung but too many users talk of the unresolvable lip sync issue so I bought the Sony. The issue with user reviews of course is that the reviewer may have nothing 'comparable' to compare their purchase to, so when I say that this Sony has, to my mind, an abysmal viewing angle, sound that's only good for making the stereo in my wife's 55 plate Mondeo sound good and a remote which refuses to respond to any request for the first ten seconds or so after switch on whilst it 'boots up', that may be unfair, as after speaking to friends with modern tellys, these irritations are common to all lcd sets, I'm just stuck in the bass rich world of my old Panasonic!. On the plus side, the picture, head on, is fantastic, it was the easiest wi-fi device I've ever set up and the set looks superb, very sleek aluminium bezel. On balance I'd buy it again. My only genuine niggle is the single stuck pixel but people tell me its not uncommon and a replacement would not necessarily be any better, but will it last the 18 years of my old one? Lets hope Santa brings that x box after all! 25 November 2014
I confirm, it is slow Not sure why people have thumbed down similar comments but I viewed this TV today and played with the remote. It's as people have said in that it takes a very long time before the remote is of any use when you turn it on from standby. Channel changing is equally poor in that after 3 quick channel changes it needed "a rest " before continuing. If you can live with these issues then its not a bad picture. This product won 42" product of 2014 but I regard the above a serious issue so purchased something else, cheaper, and without such issues. 24 November 2014
Very difficult TV to set up I bought this TV after much research and between myself and a friend we have still not managed to get it set up and we have been trying for 4 hours. There are no instructions to speak of. We were not able to get it connected to the wifi despite putting in the WPA codes as requested so we gave up with that option and tried to watch normal TV. Teh auto tune did not find any channels and so we have given up for this evening. Very disappointing. I will update my review if I manage to get the TV going! 09 November 2014
Spontaneous reboot... bad The bad.... - when watching tv with a hard drive plugged into the USB port the tv will spontaneously reboot around every 15 minutes. If you are watching content from the hard drive there is no problem. But I have since read up on this and people are having similar problems with Bravia TVs relating to the spontaneous reboot when devices are hooked up via usb or hdmi. -volume button on the remote seems damaged. It does not press in like the other buttons. -speakers are not great, but I understand this is comon with thin TVs The good.... -looks great, minimal design -picture seems good 09 October 2014
WOW - stunning - BUY IT. Did a lot of research before purchasing this from John Lewis. (No free sound bar anymore which is a shame) I got the black version because although the silver looks nice during the day - it's a bit distracting when watching at night with very low lighting, as the bezel is visible - in the dark, the black bezel disappears and the picture just floats in the air :-) There is a lot of hype about 100/200/400/800/1200 Hz TV's - in fact the rep from another manufacturer was trying to say that 1200Hz was far better than the sony - which is 100Hz basic and 200Hz motion flow. I can honestly say that there was no issues with this picture and in fact I thought this picture was better than the Panasonic. I had a Samsung 32 inch TV previously, which I bought 5 years ago and that won awards - this TV is a world apart in picture quality - truly stunning and blows it away. There is also a lot of hype about led edge-lit TV's not being as good as direct lit backlight TV's with local dimming - PAH!! total bunk - get this TV - go and see it in the store - it looks stylish, the picture is fantastic, and it has 4 HDMI inputs, SCART, composite, optical, 2 USB ports...everything you could ever need. The only thing which spoilt an otherwise faultless buy was that the TV has an external transformer (power brick) and whilst the cable from this to the TV was adequate, the lead to the plug socket was a mere 30cm long! If you are wall mounting you might want to check out the total length of the cable or buy an extension of some sort. Aside from this - I am still amazed, and am repeat watching films and series on Netflix just to see what they look like on this TV - it's a whole new experience! Buy it. 30 September 2014
