Q & As

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy to use and light weight Love this machine so easy to use. The only negative comment is the self threading element is not easy to use. 29 September 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exactly what I wanted. I love Brother sewing machines and this one is exactly what I wanted. I paid the extra to have a self threading mechanism, multi-speed sewing action and up and down needle positioning. It is lightweight which is a bonus. I purchased it as a second machine to another Brother machine I own and intend to use it when I go to my quilting classes. 23 September 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Really great Easy to set up and operate. Really pleased I bought this model. 18 August 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Reasonably priced but very effective I needed a new machine after having my old one for 35 years and I am delighted with my new Brother. The needle threader is a real bonus. Haven't tried all the stitches yet but can't wait to. 29 May 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good, easy to use and fairly priced Very pleased with the product information and the assistance available when I purchased in store! I've found the Brother Ds140 very easy to understand using the enclosed dvd and instruction manual. I am not quite a beginner but by no means am I very experienced. I mostly use the machine for dressmaking and feel it suits sewing light to medium fabrics and there are plenty of stiches and accesories to explore. 08 May 2015
