Product information

With a 3kW output that is exclusive to John Lewis, the Dualit 72470 is more than just an attractive kettle! It boils a full kettle up to 40 seconds faster than lower wattage models, and this retro-look stainless-steel kettle has non-slip feet to keep it firmly in place.

A concealed element ensures easy cleaning, while a twin water indicator gauge means you'll always know when a trip to the tap is required - which thanks to the hinged lid won't prove too much of a chore.

The washable limescale filter ensures debris-free beverages, while the large, heatproof ball knob and finger-guard prevent accidental burning. A boil-dry safety cut-out also prevents damage caused by under filling. Finally, this kettle arrives with a 2 year warranty for peace of mind.

Q & As

Dualit Jug Kettle 4.1 5 126 126
Lasts Longer Previously, I had experienced three failed kettles within a two year period from another well-known economy brand. This was a false economy. This time, I chose to spent three times the price on a quality kettle. I haven't been disappointed. So, far it's lasted well over a year of frequent usage. It performs as one would expect. However, on one occasion I hadn't noticed a thin lime-scale build-up on the inside kettle base surface - until one day when it stopped working altogether. A descale bag popped inside the kettle for half-an-hour bought it back to life. I now regularly descale the kettle whenever such lime scale becomes noticeable. 19 September 2014
excellant kettle we are delighted with our kettle its the second one we have owned 16 September 2014
Well designed product Happy with this kettle. It boils quickly. The design it very good. I have always wanted a Dualit kettle but have been put off by the price, so that is the only negative. It feels robust and well made so hopefully it will last a long time. 10 September 2014
A very useful product We've found the kettle very stylish, boils quickly and compliments our lovely new kitchen. 19 August 2014
Great Kettle: Does what it says on the box extremely well. Fast boil, quiet and efficient essential piece of kitchen kit. Good value. I hope that it lasts as many years as my Dads one has. 19 August 2014
Excellent kettle This kettle cost more than previous ones I've had but it was worth paying the extra. It is quick, quiet, easy to fill and looks great. Hope it lasts longer than the 11 months of my last kettle. 19 August 2014
Just exactly what I wanted Have been trying to find the right kettle for some time and am very pleased with the Dualit Jug Kettle. It is exactly the colour and type I was searching for. However, the display is sometimes difficult to see because of condensation and this problem should be addressed. 15 August 2014
Disappointing This kettle was highly recommended by Which! so despite the price I had no reservations in buying it. But it falls down on two points: - it is not easy to see the water level when filling. I find the best way is to look through the window from the inside against a light backround. - The lid on my previous Kenwood kettle opened very easily at the touch of a button - the Dualit is virtually impossible to open one handed which I find hugely irritating. Although it does the usual things - such as boiling water - perfectly well I had hoped it might be quieter than the Kenwood but not to be! No more Dualit kettles for me 13 August 2014
