Looks nice and that's it! We have had this phone for over a year now and it's only because it was a gift and we barely use the landline that we still have it (will be ditching it soon though as it is driving us up the wall!). Firstly on a purely practical note, as there are no numbers on the handset, although you can pick up or hang up on the handset, you need to be at the base to press numbers (so every time you need to choose an 'option' on a company phone line) and you also need to be at the base to do redial - which is quite a convoluted process, rather than a single button! Getting messages is frustrating. It does not say how many messages there are, the message deleting process often doesn't work properly and even if you do manage to delete them, the light indicating there is a message often still flashes and you have to unplug the phone to reset it. All of this is made more annoying by the fact that the phone rigs for a MAX of 3 rings. So you have to really run to the phone, press the button on the handset (which often takes 2 or 3 attempts) by which point, you have missed the call. Due to the fact that the button on the handset is itself unreliable, you can quite often end up cutting the calls you do catch off as there is sometimes a slight pause before it connects, so you press again an can end up cutting them off. Also, the buttons on the base are now beginning to stick, meaning you often pressing the wrong number (as it's missed a digit). Finally, the MOST annoying trait of this phone is it often just randomly cuts the call off fairly often, mid call. Some of these things have been an issue from the start, many have got worse over time. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy this phone. It's pretty useless! 14 July 2014
Great product with one annoying flaw We are happy with the phone and the style is great. Problem is that the settings do not allow you to increase the rings enough before answer machine kicks in. We had to switch it off because no one can get to the phone in time, even on the top option. One of the features why we chose this phone so it's pretty disappointing. 26 November 2013
Funky little machine I bought this to replace my aging BT phone whose battery had given up the ghost. First impressions are good, it's a good looking phone that sits happily in almost any type of decor. Sound quality is very good and range acceptable. I have found that the need to be at the base unit to make a call means I don't spend an age looking for where I left the handset! Very easy to set up - I would have liked a way to import phone\contact list but not too onerous to do manually. Only criticism is that the menu structure is not intuitive and you need to really read the manual, preferably download the pdf from the manufacturers website, otherwise you will take an age to delete messages. 06 November 2013
Style over substance I'll be honest. I knew it was probably going to be a case of style over substance when I bought it. I love the mix of retro styling with modern looks. And the old-fashioned dialling tones as you enter a number. It's a bit of fun. However, the drawbacks are that you can't make a call on the handset if you've wandered off to a different room with it (there are no digits, everything has to be entered into the base unit) and there are no secret calls (unless I need to go back to the manual and figure out how to turn down those dialling noises). You need to scroll through a menu to get to your messages (rather than just hitting a play button) and there's a light that's been flashing since we got it. Total mystery. Nevertheless, it'll do for now. Kids love it. When they can remember which way the handset goes. 09 October 2013
a bit dissapointed a really smart looking phone. fairly easy to set up, but then things started to go downhill. i would set for 7 rings before the answer machine kicked in, only to find it would'nt do it, as with a few of the other settings. was a shame, as i licked it a lot. 04 December 2012
Perfect Phone This phone is really easy to use, looks great, clear sound. 10 November 2012
Retro heaven. i bought this as a present for my daughter who is establishing a new home wih her husband and she is absolutely thrilled with the design and, truth be told, I am quite jealous, as I would rather like one myself now but to acquire one would be rather like buying a like hat to wear at Ascot. 15 April 2012
