Q & As

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great game This is a really fun family game. Very competitive, and addictive. 16 February 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for all the family A much more fun and portable version of scrabble. We played it in teams of two during a family weekend with an age range from primary school children to their grandparents. Great way of improving children's confidence with words and for adults too! All enjoyed it and I expect will go and purchase their own Bananagrams. 16 February 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great game for all ages Played this with a friend over Christmas. Had to come home and get one for myself. Similar to scrabble but no scores to keep. One player wins. Great for passing an hour or two on a winters night. Anyone, young or old can play and any number of people. Love it. Highly recommended. 10 February 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great fun for all ages! My eleven year old daughter received Bananagrams for Christmas and the whole family loved it. So much so that we bought one for my parents. The game is much faster paced than Scrabble and is played in short rounds so it can go on for as long as you like. We had players from age 9 to 70 all playing together, the only concession made to youth was that we allowed the youngest child to get started and shout 'peel' when they had a couple of words already set up. A great, raucous game for developing spelling and vocab! 10 February 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good fun! I played this game with friends over Christmas and found it great I bought one to have available for other friends and also to take to a day centre where I do voluntary work.. I would imagine it would be a good learning game for youngsters, too. 02 February 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love this game I bought two Bananagrams games, one for my grandson and one for me.I had played this game a couple of times before and enjoyed it. My grandson had never played it before. It is similar to Scrabble but much easier to play and no totting up scores. It is an excellent game for children and a great boost for their spelling knowledge. .We had lots of fun especially some of the words that made up the game. 26 January 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Enjoyable game of letters and words Related to scrabble but not as involved or lengthy, this game is ideal over the holidays round a table: rainy afternoon or after a meal. The rules are straightforward. The tiles -which are a satisfying weight in plastic- come in a banana shaped cloth bag with a zip, neat and compact, so it is ideal for holidays or camping. Each person has a number of tiles and proceeds on their own to form interlocking words using up all their tiles adding or subtracting in response to getting stuck or when others call for an extra tile. The winner is the one with all tiles used. The other players can continue to play until they are also 'out' or the game can end there. At the end we check the winner's words and record a list of winners before starting another game - no further scoring is involved [maybe it would benefit from scoring complex or ingenious words, but that would start to get more complex?] Players do get their moment:) The game comes with alternative games, but we've only played the main one. Enjoyed by adults and children especially as it isn't too lengthy. 26 January 2016
