AEG T75280AC ProTex Condenser Tumble Dryer, 8kg Load, B Energy Rating, White 4.2 5 17 17
so far so good Purchased this to replace a 6 year old John Lewis machine (which was probably also a rebadged AEG....). Currently there is an offer for a free warranty extension from AEG to 5 years, which was a big factor in chooisng this rather than the cheaper AEG or the Bosch. We have used it for a week or so now and I have to say it seems excellent so far - as quiet as the old one, no issues with condensation etc and seems to dry much faster without needing to be on the "bone dry" setting. 08 June 2014
Slow drying and problems with rebate This machine replaces a JLP machine that was really good. Had the machine a month. This machine fails to dry the washing to the expected level, leaving portions of the load damp, thus requiring us to hang stuff. It is not possible to get it to dry through the load unless using the extra dry as the sensor thinks it is finished. In addition the energy consumption rating on JLP site, which says 268Kwh/yr, does not match the energy sticker that came with the machine, says 560Kwh/yr. This is TWICE as expensive as JLP say. Then claiming the rebate has proven difficult. AEG rejected the claim saying the model was incorrect, even though the model matched the AEG site. Not solved this yet 27 October 2013
Not overly satisfied I purchased this product from JL last year bearing in mind that i had a similar Miele machine at my other property. I was assured that AEG followed Mieles excellence in performance. I haven't been impressed with this machine as i tend to need to put washing on to dry twice as the first time always has a ball of washing still damp. I've also experienced the tank lights flashing red even after i have emptied / cleaned them out! I have booked for an engineer to come out and look at the machine and if possible may try to upgrade to the better make. 24 February 2013
NOT WITHOUT ISSUES BUT OVERALL VERY PLEASED I did a huge amount of research before settling on the AEG. I explained to John Lewis when placing my order by phone that the tumble drier was to be located in a cupboard and was assured it would be fine. However, after two weeks there were patches of bubbling on the top surface of the drier. John Lewis customer service response was excellent - I got an immediate replacement. The problem has not recurred though I now leave the door open. Drying time is very fast - only issue is that even when following instructions in the manual re weight of laundry for the programme selected, the quick mixed load prog and bed linen programmes always leave a ball of still wet laundry in the back of the drier. However, overall, I am still thrilled to bits with this AEG drier - very low energy and very quiet. Towels come out really soft and fresh. I would like to know why I still have damp laundry in the machine while the rest is completely dry according to the dryness level selected? 03 February 2013
Very useful! I recommend this tumble dryer for all. It does the job perfectly and it even removes extra dust that is still inside the laundry. Easy to empty the water out of the tray and if it wasn't for this, it would be very hard in life. Overall. It is a very good product. 01 January 2013
An Excellent product We bought this product to replace a washer dryer & have the complimentary washing machine. The reason we went for separate machines this time was largely down to performance & drying times of the combined device. We are really pleased with the performance & drying time plus the number of options that you can select dependent on the clothes you are drying. There are also three lights on the front panel which indicate when the water bottle, fluff filter or condenser need cleaning. 27 December 2012
Really effective dryer We bought this dryer as a replacement for our existing AEG dryer and it is nice to see that the design has been updated. The drum is massive, which means you can get a full load of towels in the dryer with no issues of space. There is also a new LED display on this model, which indicates the duration of the current drying cycle - a handy addition. There are more programmes, but we tend to use iron / storage dry most of the time. The previous dryer was a condenser too, but we had to have the window open when it was in use in our utility room. We have no problems of condensation with the new one and can run it with the window closed. My only minor complaint is the new lint filter, which is slightly awkward to open. Overall though I would recommend this dryer to anyone, particularly if ventilation isn't an option. 09 November 2012
Really pleased This tumble dryer was a replacement. Very pleased with contact from the company and driver reminding me of date & time slot of delivery. It's easy to unpack & lightweight enough to slide under unit on your own. The filter, tank & condenser are easy to take out & clean. There are plenty of programmes to choose from and is quiet. 06 November 2012
