Product information

Put your feet up and let the i-Robot Roomba 650 vacuum cleaner do all the hard work. This compact robot will happily take care of your floor cleaning duties at the touch a single button.

Cleaning performance is maximised thanks to multiple sensors and over 40 behaviours programmed into the Roomba. It can handle up to 4 rooms on a single charge, getting into hard-to-reach areas like wall edges and beneath furniture - all the time avoiding the stairs! Roomba 650 efficiently cleans the whole floor, under and around furniture and along walls, and automatically adjusts from carpets to hard floors.

If you don’t want to be hopping around to avoid your laborious Roomba 650, the on-board scheduling feature allows you to preset up to seven cleaning times per week for Roomba to clean when it's most convenient for you.

There’s also an Auto On Virtual Wall® ™ (1x included) that confines Roomba to one room until the entire floor is vacuumed. An advanced cleaning head provides superior cleaning performance for picking up dust, dirt, pet hair and allergens from carpets and hard floors.A handy Aerovac bin employs a powerful vacuum to vigorously pull debris and hair off the brushes and into the bin.

Thanks to anti-tangle technology the Roomba 650 can extract itself from tassels and cord tangles. A soft touch bumper also protects your furniture as well as the Roomba, as its navigating its way around your home. And when the robot cleaner’s work is done, or it needs a top up, it returns to its home base to recharge. Emptying’s easy too, thanks to the removable bin and filters. A convenient carrying handle also adds to the flexibility of this superb vacuum cleaner!

Please note: Auto-on Virtual Wall®™ requires 2x C batteries (not included).

i-Robot Roomba 650 Vacuum Cleaner 4.2 5 6 6
Worth Every Penny The roomba 650 has been worth every penny. I am now a month into owning it, and my floors have never been cleaner. My bedroom carpets look like they are new. You will quickly change where you put things down to make sure its paths not interrupted. You can either schedule it or do what I do and press the start button most mornings as I leave the flat, and come home to the whole flat spotlessly clean. 10 May 2014
i-Robot Roomba 650 Vacuum Cleaner We are absolutely delighted by this product. The convenience of having a vacuum cleaner which operates by itself, while we are away from home, and returns to its base automatically when it needs a recharge is quite outstanding. What is more, the cleaning effectiveness of the i.Robot is second to none and we are still astounded by the amount of dust collected in what we had always regarded as a pristine clean flat. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the product. 01 April 2014
Useful Review after day one. Firstly your excitement has to wait until it has completed its first battery charge. Thereafter it is easy to use, picks up most of the bits, it is fairly quiet and its little rotating brush gets into the edges and corners. However there are a few hints and points to emphasise. You have to minimise the amount of clutter on the floor to ensure it can squeeze itself into all the places you want it to clean. I first set it off upstairs with all the bedroom doors open. This isn't the best strategy.. Its method seems to be fairly random and it can cover the same place more than once. I thought it might create a sort of mental map of the room and having got the basic dimensions, it would work up and down. Instead it is more like a dodgem car. It went out of one room before it had finished in there, and so it spent more time running about than it needed to. I suggest that you close the doors in turn or use the electronic fence that is supplied to screen off some areas. You can also just pick it and its charger up, put in a room and close the door on it. I also have fairly new carpets which generate quite a lot of fluff. The container is quite small. It goes back to its charger and bleeps at you when it wants to be emptied. Consequently, the repositioning, emptying and closing doors means that it is not quite the time saver I thought, but it still easily beats dragging a Dyson around the place. I guess with more regular cleaning, the fluff will be much less next time and I will not be interrupted as much. You can't throw away your regular vacuum cleaner because there will still be times when you will want to move furniture and do it all properly, but for the routine of keeping the place looking tidy, I think it will prove useful. The number of times that I clean under beds is low, so this will provide a great improvement. in just that area. 18 June 2013
It does what it says on the box. I love it :-) I love gadgets, however, I will not buy something for the sake of it. I had seen these and thought "I would like one of those". I was eventually forced into it by the demise of my old Dyson. Before I bought my new one I read reviews on many websites both this side and the other side of ' the pond'. All reviews were glowing. I bought one and after several months and major building work where I used it daily I can say nothing but positive comments. Should in the future this break down, like my acti fry, I will be replacing it immediately. By the way mine is called 'Hal' and I have just about stopped apologising to it if I get in its way while it is conscientiously going about its business. :-) 13 March 2013
Getting parts is a problem I was quite happy to purchase the i-Robot Roomba 650 Vacuum Cleaner and it generally does a good job. However I have not been able to get the Filters from the supplier. They would not respond to complaints by email and eventually I had to get my money back after resolving the dispute via Paypal. I am trying to see if John Lewis can order the filters for me but unfortunately they keep referring me to the supplier. Its been a big headache for me and regret buying this vacuum so think twice before purchasing this product! 24 February 2013
Excellent product! How do you fancy never hoovering again, whilst having carpets and floors which are far cleaner than they ever have been? (Unless YOU hoover everyday, that is). OK. I like gadgets, so it wasn't difficult to sell this product to me, but, I'm astounded by what a brilliant job it does. I can certainly say that it isn't a gimmick. Set up your 'bot with its 'home base' charger, and (after a disappointing initial charge for 16 hours!) press the 'Clean' button. This little gem springs to life and wanders around the floors of your home cleaning RIGHT up to the edges and under anything with a gap of more than 8cm below it. I live in an apartment, so I don't have the issue of stairs (which Roomba just doesn't do), but I have sofas, tables and a piano that I thought would totally confuse this little guy. They didn't! In fact, it's quite entertaining watching it brush and hoover right around each individual leg of each item of furniture. It really leaves my carpets and wood floors SPOTLESS - and the evidence of how well it has done is left in the easy-to-empty dust bin. This particular model also has a weekly schedule - I've set mine up to start up at 7pm, three times a week. At first, I didn't trust it to work whilst I was out, but having kept an eye on it for a few days, it is clear that this robot has been carefully designed to detect when it's in trouble and either take corrective action, or shut down. These days, I get home in time to see it finishing off and trundling back to its charger to automatically recharge itself. It is expensive, but then so are any of today's good vacuum cleaners, and if you like your place clean (like I do) or perhaps suffer from dust allergies, I just can't recommend this little robot to you enough. Now... to choose a name? I've toyed with 'Johnny Five' (whilst showing my age) and 'Wall-e' (given that he has the same job). What will you call yours? 31 October 2012
