This kettle looks nice but it's noisy and ours stopped working before it was a year old.
JL were very unhelpful and the only remedy they offered was to return it to the manufacturer for a two week repair (which may or may not be chargeable at JL and manufacturer discretion).
I have used JL up to now because I felt they always had a good service model clearly this isn't the case. Taking two weeks to address a faulty kettle pretty much forces you to buy another one anyway.

This is far more substantial than the traditional Dualit kettle we had, unfortunately
the handle broke on that and the kettle itself was fine but we couldn't get a replacement handle for it..really happy we now have the kettle & matching toaster.

Lovely design, efficient but extremely noisy. Impossible to hear the radio or hold a telephone conversation in the kitchen whilst kettle is on.

Our last Dualit kettle lasted us over 8 years in which time we had two babies -so the kettle was used a LOT! This one is just as robust. Good design. My only fault is that it is a little noisy and the blue light is a little 80s but apart from that sleek and lovely to use.

A good looking kettle which performs well .The only gripe is that the spout drips just as one pulls the kettle up after pouring.

Besides the fact that it is heavy and noisy of which I would put up with because it looks great, the annoying thing is the spout dripping after use. No matter how careful you are waiting after pouring your cuppa out there are always drips from the spout when you put the kettle down. This is because the spout is horizontal, I understand this is its design but it would have been better with a very slight angle to it to prevent the drip. Meanwhile my granite worktop has constant water marks on it now. Very disappointed.
