Product information

The Le Duo Plus XL juice extractor, citrus press and coulis maker pours delicious, nutritious fresh fruit and vegetable juices straight into your glass. A truly comprehensive solution for making fruit and vegetable juices. All you have to do is think up new combinations of seasonal produce to feed into it.

The juice extractor basket is ideal for most hard and soft fruit and vegetables. The large 'spin dryer' basket extracts almost every drop of juice from the fruit and vegetables leaving the pulp virtually dry, and the new removable rim makes cleaning even easier. By adding the SmoothieMix attachment to the juice extractor basket, Le Duo Plus XL is able to juice soft fruits including bananas, and cooked vegetables for the extraction of thick creamy jus or purees, also ideal for preparing baby’s first food.

For convenience, the Citrus Press comes with 2 cones so is ideal for juicing both large and small citrus fruits, the large cone designed for oranges and grapefruits and the small cone for lemons and limes.

The extra-large feedtube will take whole or large pieces of fruit or vegetables reducing your preparation time. The large chrome spout directs juice straight into a glass for a quick and convenient health kick.

Le Duo Plus XL is simple to use with an On/Off switch enabling you access to all juicing functions. The range of attachments with Le Duo Plus XL makes it a versatile juicer ideal for more than just your morning juice.

The robust 400 watt commercial grade induction motor is covered by a 20 year motor guarantee and all dishwasher safe removable parts are covered by a 3 year guarantee. With shaped spatula for easy pulp removal and full colour instruction and recipe book.

Q & As

Magimix Le Duo Plus XL Juice Extractor 3 5 9 9
Magimix Le Duo Although leaves pulp relatively wet and chute requires apples to be cut, this still produces great juice and worked perfectly for my 7 day juice plan. Easy to clean and very stylish and like all magimix products very well built. I lost weight and feel healthier so no complaints! 09 September 2014

Disappointing in many ways Top marks to John Lewis who gave me a full refund after buying this machine and being quite disappointed. After my refund I purchased the Sage Heston Blumenthal Nutri Juicer Plus, so this review includes a comparison to that machine. Benefits: - The machine is tall but small footprint, takes up minimal space on kitchen work counter. There is no separate pulp container. All pulp is kept in the central machine (also a negative). - Reasonably quiet. Quieter than the Sage Nutri Juicer. Negatives: - Juice is not 100% smooth, small bits of pulp remain. The Sage produces a much smoother juice. - The pulp which remains in the machine is not 100% dry. I would estimate it leaves the pulp 80% dry. The Sage juicer leaves pulp 95% dry. - The machine becomes less effective with every vegetable juiced. This is because the pulp is contained in the internal basket and any new juice must pass through the old pulp before reaching the jug. I found I needed to open the machine and empty the basket after juicing only five apples. - Juice extraction is slow(ish). After placing a fruit in the juicer, 90% of the juice comes out instantly, but the last 10% trickles out over 10-20 seconds. This is because it has to pass through all the collected pulp. The Sage produces 100% of the juice in 2-4 seconds. - The entry shute is deceptive. Although it looks large, there is a chunk of plastic halfway down that means all apples must be cut in two. Overall I was quite disappointed with the machine. Primarily because it doesn't produce a 100% smooth juice and the leftover pulp is always wet. John Lewis let me exchange the product for the Sage Heston Blumenthal Nutri Juicer Plus, which is a far better juicer is many ways. 01 June 2014
Not all it's cracked up to be Six months on and the central spindle has cracked - and when I took it back to PJs there was another one in the service centre with the same problem. But more than this it is a nightmare to clean... The central basket where all the pulp gathers has a rim which means you can't get it properly clean ... It also doesn't effectively extract all the juice ... I put the pulp through again ... Purchased to make juice daily, since I returned to work it has remained gathering dust on the counter top because it is just too much hassle to use. I wouldn't recommend this one for the following reasons Noisy (the motor sounds like it is straining) Impossible to clean the central basket Can't juice green leaves ... They come out whole Broken after six months Would have loved to get my money back but too late to do ... Now in cupboard and have purchased the mid range sage one 23 March 2014
Really good product! It's really easy to use and I love the juice it makes, really smooth and no bits. I think the pulp that is left behind is wetter than I expected, so it's not getting all of the juice out but it is still quite a lot. A massive downside is how long it takes to wash though! The citrus press is really good, gets a lot of juice out! 21 January 2014
Wonderful machine This machine works superbly - the best juicer on sale. Being able to placed parts in the dishwasher is a boon if you use the machine daily to prepare baby food, for example. What is noticeable over competing machines is that a much lower proportion of the pulp exits with and/or contaminates the juice. Expensive, but worth every penny. 16 October 2013
Deceitful looks This is a good looking machine with a small foot print on the counter and as such it might please some buyers. If however you wish to juice fruit and vegetables it is not such a useful machine. The chute is reasonably big but has an obstructing divider meaning even small apples had to be cut before hand. Indeed a picture in the instructions shows each apple in 8 sections. It could not deal with kale or other leafy veg. I could only juice 450 ml of juice before cleaning the machine, and the pulp was very very wet. A really annoying feature was that the pusher ended up with a lot of wet pulp on it which always dropped on the counter.I am sad because Magimix has always had good products in the past. I really appreciate that I got a full refund. 11 October 2013
terrible juicer For the price and for such a respectable brand, this juicer is awful, but fortunately John Lewis were happy to give me a full refund. With soft fruits, the juice comes out pulpy, so I had to use the strainer for the pulp (and pear/apple/apricot skin) before pouring it into a glass. With leafy vegetables it barely chops them and produces close to no juice (when I came to cleaning the juicer, the leaves were more or less whole). It is also difficult to clean (and is listed on the website as being 'dishwasher safe', which is not the case). I was attracted to this design because it was so compact, but juicers with a chute are less messy (you can place a biodegradable bag inside to catch the pulp and throw it away immediately after juicing). The only juice this juicer successfully made was carrot juice, and I have no complaints for the citrus juicer feature. 01 August 2013
