The Neff U17M42N3GB is a high quality double oven that offers modern styling in a stainless steel finish that will complement your kitchen.

Its elegant retractable controls, 'U' form door design and bar handles are colour coordinated with the metallic control panel and the oven has excellent visibility, thanks to its extra-wide viewing windows.

Inside is the Circotherm cooking system, smooth enamel floor and walls plus CeramiClean roof and back liners that provides a hassle-free solution to cleaning up after the Sunday roast. The Circotherm system uses a powerful fan to draw in air from the oven interior. This forced air system means lower temperatures can be used and little or no pre-heating is required. The method is ideal for roasting, batch baking and hot air grilling. Neff introduced Circotherm to the UK over 30 years ago and it remains one of the very best cooking systems around.

Other cooking functions include:

  • Top/bottom heat
  • Bottom heat
  • Large area grill
  • Thermo grill
  • Defrost setting
  • Hot air
  • Circo roasting

With 4 shelf positions and glazed glass doors. Also includes 1 x universal pan, 2 x baking and roasting shelf cranked, 1 x insert grid and a cook book. Requires 20 amps power setting and cooker point connection.

Q & As

Rated 4 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointing product We purchased it from John Lewis at the end of August 2104 but was delivered directly from Neff. The first thing we noticed was "warming up" to 180 deg. took about 14 minutes so we told JL and an engineer called and replaced the thermostat but it did not make any difference. Also, on this U17M42N3GB in "Circotherm" or any other mode, if you place one tray immediately above the other, your food will not be cooked evenly or properly and what you see on the videos of perfectly cooked food items on three trays is just a dream. The oven was delivered with a label indicating a power efficiency rating of "B" for the top oven and "A" for the lower, but Neff quotes A and A for all their ovens. JL contacted Neff about our predicament but were unable to sort the matter out so we sent Neff a final letter indicating that their response to our issues were not acceptable and four months on they agreed to authorise JL to allow us to have the oven replaced. We chose JL's own model JLBIDU713, an expensive model also at the same price, but alas! at least it does what "it says on the tin". It cooks well, it is efficient, it warms up in less than half of the Neff's time, it has some good features being all digital with no knobs etc, and so far, we are happy with the product after just three weeks of use. Reading through JL customer's feedback on the different ovens, we came across another dissatisfied buyer of this particular oven who also had to have it replaced, so at least it is refreshing to know that it is not just us. Anyone interested can find the details left on 21/5/2013 under "SIEMENS HB13NB521B" Double Electric Oven and judge for themselves. 13 January 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Impressive Had this oven for 3 months now and am very impressed with it's performance, particularly circotherm function. However was a bit disappointed in the capacity of the bottom oven, which is wide, but if you put a chicken on the bottom shelf you cannot get the top shelf into the oven to cook anything else. Have also noticed that items towards the back of the bottom oven brown more quickly than the front, I had expected more even cooking. Still it is the best oven I have ever had, and looks very stylish. 31 December 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Expensive, and yes, very good ! Well, where do we start ? I will try and keep it short and sweet. This oven is very expensive, and also absolutely brilliant; you pay for what you get. There is another one of the John Lewis website, with a similar model number, and a similar price, but this one is the better model, as it has more features on the ovens - hence it being slightly dearer. It is worth every penny, and is built like a truck. The only thing I'm not a massive fan of is the top dials - they are a very clever design as they push in, and then pop out and turn etc, but they feel a bit cheap to me (that's maybe being picky to be fair). All in all, its a five star rating. The way it cooks the food is superb. I had heard Neff were really good from many people - and they were right. Very highly recommended ! 01 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by One of our best buys An excellent oven if you do a lot of cooking. The multi function aspect is what attracted us. Previously a "fan only" oven proved to be limited when cooking all types of cake. This oven accomplished cake cooking perfectly. The fan is good for all other dishes and especially good for pastry, although the bottom heater may be used to finish off pastry bases. One small snag might be the size of the top oven. Suggest you offer up pans to it prior to buying to ensure using both ovens for a larger dinner can be done. Controls are good and the graduated markings makes for accurate temperature settings. The manual supplied is also excellent. Pricey but worth it. 06 May 2014
