Q & As

Tanita 3 Axis Pedometer, Black/Silver 4.1 5 19 19
This product is good. It's easy to read the steps, calories and distance. But if I wear it when on the train or bus, the numbers still go up, so the results will be misleading. It is better to use it only when I am walking or running or do exercise. I give it three stars. 25 August 2014
Working well until.... Loved it. Unfortunately I washed it & so it is no more. But I was worried at how easily the alarm cord could be pulled out. 08 July 2014
Unreliable I've had this for 18 months (just seen it's got a two year guarantee but not sure if I have the receipt) and it is now useless. It keeps resetting the time so you can't get a day's reading out of it. Like others, I was disappointed that you couldn't use miles and that it really doesn't work unless it's in a trouser pocket - no wearing skirts/dresses! I did pull the alarm key out by mistake once and was convinced it was someone's house alarm it was so loud. Seems quite robust compared with others. 17 May 2014
So pleased I bought this This was an impulse buy but has turned out to be something I put in my pocket and use every day.I'm not happy until I reach 10,000 steps. I think my dog loves all the extra walks we take so that I can reach my daily target. Easy to set up and use. 16 December 2013
Does what it says it would! I've been using this for a couple of weeks and so far so good. It seems to be pretty accurate, and I've just kept it in my coat pocket. The only downside for me is that it doubles as a personal alarm - this seems an odd combination in the product, and (whilst I probably wouldn't) I worry I'll set it off accidentally, particularly if I was to wear it round my neck. 12 November 2013
about to buy my second one had this for a few years and found it excellent in design and accuracy. Pity that I left it in a pocket and put in the washing machine!!! Dead pedometer!! 15 September 2013
Very accurate I found this pedometer very accurate, unlike all previous pedometers I had tried. I leave it in my bag and it counts every step! 25 March 2013
Unreliable My partner just bought this pedometer. It only records steps if you keep it in your pocket, or elsewhere where it will 'feel' a real thud. It is highly intermittent when worn around the neck, or in a handbag. This pedometer is okay for someone with trouser pockets. Worn on the upper body, it fails to function. 19 March 2013
