Finished in a classic black, the Stoves Sterling 600EI electric cooker has plenty of features for the discerning culinary expert!

Thanks to 6 heat settings, exact control is offered over each of the induction hob’s 4 zones. The top compartment features a conventional electric oven and grill. Below, the main cavity provides fanned electric cooking plus a defrost option.

A halogen flood light illuminates the main oven interior so you can see clearly through the viewing window without having to open the oven door, while providing a more energy efficient alternative to a standard light bulb.

Lined with easy clean enamel, the oven cavities in this Stoves cooker provide effortless maintenance, as the lining resists cooked on food and spills for supremely easy cleaning.

Q & As

Rated 4 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product but cheap finish I was looking for a fan oven to replace my patchy gas one. My husband also wanted to try an induction hob so we did lots of research and eventually settled on this one. The oven's fine although it takes a bit of getting used to. The big one at the bottom is fan and very hot so you need to adjust your normal temperature down or you burn everything. The small top oven / grill is a good size for lots of things so I usually use it if there's just one thing to cook. The big one is good for cooking on both shelves - a roast and roast veg or something. The induction hob: the reason I chose this was mostly for the normal controls - most induction hobs have an annoying touch-control which tend to stop working if wet. This Stoves one has knobs to turn. A red display of the number you've turned it up to then shows on the top of the hob. It goes up to 9 and also has a 'P' setting which heats super fast but only lasts 10 mins. Each time you use these controls it beeps, so it beeps to tell you it's been switched on and off and it beeps to tell you the 'P' setting 10 minutes is up. One useful thing I've discovered is that once you take the pan off the heat the hob waits a minute or so and then turns itself off so if you forget to turn it off it's not wasting energy. Cleaning the hob is fine as you can just wipe it but if something sticky boils over you have to scrub a bit - NOT with something scratchy of course. Because there's no rim round the outside you'll find that boiling over liquid just goes down the side so you do need to be careful not to let this happen. After 6 months of owning this I'm very happy with it. However, the number guide on the knobs has almost worn off and I've not worked out how to use the clock display yet. I'm not completely convinced that it's worth the extra money to buy induction - it's easier to keep clean than gas but it's not as responsive when you turn it up and down. AND you have to buy heavy, expensive pans to work on it. 14 November 2013
