Going back as not fit for purpose! Bought this as an extra bed in December for Christmas guests and has been slept on 4 times. Used by me at the weekend and whilst kneeling on the bed one of the wooden slats right in the middle broke. I only weigh 65kg so not sure where the weight limit comes from of 120kg. Clearly this is unrealistic and the fact that you can't kneel on the bed without a chance of it breaking means that it's no good for me. Very poor really for John Lewis sourced product. On the positive side, the bed does fold up really easily which is one of the reasons I bought it, but the wooden slats are not up to scratch. 06 February 2013

90kg (14stone) is too much As with other reviews found this bed failed with the slats flexing to the point of popping out. As this happened whilst i was using it away from home a temporary fix was made using cable ties to prevent this!! On the positive side the bed is really comfortable and easy to unfold. Just don't believe that it can support the 120kgs stated in the description. 30 January 2013

Exactly what I wanted! I purchased this bed initially for grandchildren but have had reason to sleep on it myself many times and would be very confident offering it to adult guests. Great purchase as one would expect of John Lewis stock. 19 January 2013

Not fit for purpose! This bed requires a limited amount of fairly easy assembly, looks good, and folds to an easily stored 'bundle' including the mattress. It's a pity it is not supplied with a cover to protect it and conceal it when stored. HOWEVER, I rate it as 'not fit for purpose' because the flexible wooden slats bend to the point of slipping out of their fixings when used by people weighing far less than the rated 120 Kg - it failed to support a person in the 80-85 Kg range! If you use it only ever as a child's bed it would be fine; but no use as an occasional guest bed for an adult. This is a shame as in other respects it has the potential to be a pleasant bed to live with. 21 December 2012

Comfortable This bed was bought as a follow-on from a grandchild's cot and he slept at least as well as usual. I've tried lying on it myself and I think it would be reasonably comfortable for an adult. Assembly was not altogether staightforward as the instructions were hidden and one of the legs was fixed on back to front so that the holes drilled for the supporting strips were misaligned & would not allow both strips to be put in place. Too much trouble to return the bed & I needed it then anyway. I think it's perfectly safe with only one of the strips fixed. 11 November 2012

Very useful spare bed This bed is very easy to assemble, sturdy, and very comfortable indeed. I found it easy to move on its wheels from one room to another. I agree it would be useful to have a cover for it but plan on making one. 20 October 2012

Very Comfortable Bed We needed this bed as my nephew was coming to stay for a few months. It is the most comfortable folding bed he has slept on. Its very easy to fold and put away neatly. Certainly recommend this product. 17 October 2012
