Has only lasted 5 months Bought this in march for new iPad. Cracks quickly began to appear at the corners and have now progressed to the point that it no longer holds the iPad and flaps off. John Lewis, can I do anything about it? 19 August 2012

DONT BOTHER As with other reviewers, I purchased it this week and returned the next day scratches all over!! right out of the box. As always John Lewis refunded without probs.!! 24 June 2012

Doesn't last very long I had this for a while now. It started off good but it started to crack in 3 of the 4 corners. I always handled it with care so never bashed it. Bit disappointed with the material. I am not sure if this is meant to fit the new ipad, as a corner keeps coming out. It could be something to do with the crack. Definitely won't get another one again. 21 June 2012

Scratched out of the packet Like others I bought this item (from store) and it too was scratched and looked used. However, as I bought it the day after the new iPad came out I doubt it had been used. I think that this product scratches far too easily and was poorly packaged so it may have got scratched in transit. It is also very glossy which in my opinion looks a tad tacky. Returned for a refund. 31 March 2012

Scratched and blemished straight out of the packet Just like the other reviewer, my cover was also scratched when I took it out of the packaging. I thought they were marks left by stickers at first, but they turned out to be scratches. It seemed as though someone had already been using it for a while. I took it to John Lewis, and they were horrified and very apologetic. They offered me another, but if that's what they're like new, I doubt they would stand up to much. Targus may have hurried these to get them on the shelves in time for the launch of the new iPad. Avoid. 27 March 2012

Very flimsy bit of plastic that was scratched Arrived quickly but the back cover is very badly scratched straight out of the packaging as if it's been used already, it will be returned. 23 March 2012
