Q & As

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Neat design and easy assembly The arrival of Flat Packs seem to portend disasters, but in this instance if instructions followed calmly and parts laid out clearly at hand, there should be no problem. At least, that is my experience and, as my grandkids would say, "it looks cool". I like the dark glass hiding the electronic bit and bobs, and there are enough gaps in back to connect same to mains and each other, TV, speakers and so on. Really good design and parts well made resulting in a solid, stylish construction. 16 June 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by WELL MADE PRODUCT The tv stand was very well made and though assembling took some time I was very impressed with the instructions and how everything fitted. 10 February 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by A let down All was going swimmingly with the self assembly (2 of us, 90 minutes using our own screw driver rather than the awkward allen key) until right at the very end. One of the 4 ready installed glass door hinges was not aligned properly making it impossible to fit the door properly, so despite many attempts it is not level with the other one and does not open/close smoothly. More was to come. Despite the bold statement that the glass is RF friendly, the remote control can only work provided the door is open. So what's the point of the doors? On the plus side the walnut veneer is very good and so reluctantly we will put up with its faults. 17 January 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lovely TV Stand When I looked at all the separate packets of bits and bobs, I thought it was beyond my husband’s capability to put it together. However, he worked quietly and patiently and after about 4 hours he had erected it. He said the instructions were very clear with each item or bag of bits labelled a, b, c and so on. Unit looks very smart, particularly with the walnut top and the glass doors. Holes at the back of unit should be larger for ease of getting plugs/cables through, but overall very pleased with it. I did a lot of research prior to selecting this unit and I certainly feel it is the very best of its type on the market and good value for money. 16 September 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Looks Good Arrived within 2 day's, very easy to put together, with instruction leaflet. One criticism, the 4 small screws (J) two broke off trying to fit catch lock/opener, as the metal is to soft, so I had to enlarge pilot holes to ease problem. The finished product looks very good Glad I bought it !! 06 August 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good looking stand Easy to assemble, although I used my own tools. Did it all by myself, as nothing was very heavy. My only criticism is that the cable slots in the back are, perhaps, too small and it would be better if there were slots at the top and bottom (extra holes could be cut-out if required, or the rear panel could be left off). However, I did manage to get the mass of connecting cables (DVD player, HDD recorder, surround sound system and Wii unit) through the slots and the two gaps at the sides without too much bother. My surround sound amplifier is too high to enable the glass shelf to be fitted so I just left it off. One thing to consider though is that the glass doors, due to the timber frame, are quite small and equipment on the bottom shelf may have to be raised up so that the infra red signal can reach through the glass. Equipment on the top shelf works fine. All-in-all, I and my wife are very pleased with the unit and would recommend it, although for televisions larger than 47 inches, the longer model may be more appropriate (my 47 inch Sony sits comfortably). 20 January 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Flat pack nightmare Took me 3 hours to put together - and I've done a lot of flat packs in my time. Would have taken even longer if I'd used the allen keys provided, rather than my own electric screwdriver. Pages and pages of instructions. Once (finally) assembled, it does look smart, with a subtle minimal design which is good - though the materials used are nothing special for the price. And even now, not all the screws are in perfectly, and the front glass doors don't quite line up. So if you're a perfectionist, and/or not keen on the considerable task of putting this thing together, perhaps best to stay away! 30 January 2013
