Rated 5 out of 5 by Sushifan Perfect multi-task product!
I heard from a Sushi chef about this. I bought this on the internet and could pick this up from local Waitrose the next day! I have used it almost everyday because I can cook a variety of food for instance Roast Beef, Stew etc. What impressed me most about this cooker was I could make Perfect Rice for Sushi!! (Basically making Sushi rice is the most difficult thing but this makes it possible!) I loved it!

So far we've used the rice, porridge, slow cooking & steam setting & every time our food comes out perfect. The rice is never sticky or starchy like when you boil it in a saucepan, the porridge never burns, meat when it is slow cooked in a casserole or a curry just falls apart & the veg when steamed is just right. We've also used it for keeping homemade soup warm after it's been blitzed in the blender & the delay start function is extremely handy. The non-stick pan is a great size & comes clean when washed by hand or in the dishwasher & the recipes in the books provided are great & really help to get the quantity & portion sizes spot on. I don't know how we managed without one & sometimes wish we had a second one so we could cook a curry & the rice at the same time!

We use it to make porridge every morning. I throw in the ingredients at night, set the timer and lovely porridge is waiting in the morning! The keep warm function works well so it can be kept warm for the next person.
Only criticism is the timer only works by the hour so unlike timers on some appliances it is not very accurate, but as the keep warm function works well it's not too much of a problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JaneAH Only lasted two years
Bought this October 2012, but only got a one year guarantee then. Have only used for rice as did not get the hang of stews.
Rice cooked well and you can steam veg.
HOWEVER-lid catch became unreliable some months ago, especially would not re-engage when I opened the lid to put greens in the steamer.
Now tonight I am getting error message. Poor durability. Also a bit fiddly to clean but all the same I miss it now it has gone wrong as very handy for rice.

I bought this product as i wanted one piece of equipment rather than several to space save!
The product itself is smart, light weight and easy to use. The unit is incredibly easy to keep clean.
I started by using the rice settings and it did produce a lovely result. However it was trial and error but feel that this is down to personal preference of how you like your rice. ie more al dente etc. I successfully cooked a beautiful rice pudding also.
The slow cooker we have had several attempts with and unfortunately this has not hit the mark. On all occasions even when it had been on for 12hrs + the vegetables were still not thoroughly cooked, and the meat not as tender as i would hope considering how long it had been cooking for.
Having read multiple other reviews with regards to its functionality and success at slow cooking i feel really disappointed. Maybe i just got a faulty unit!
Overall i feel if you want a rice cooker this is a great product, however like me if you want it primarily as a functioning slow cooker, it maybe worth investing in a different product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LeighK Great bit of kit
This is our seconf Tefal multi-cooker. I bought the previous six-in-one (white) model from John Lewis about 8 years ago and it has been a faithful and releiable servant and is still working but I thought I'd treat us to the latest mdoel.
We occasionally use it for other settings but our main usage is as a slow cooker and it has perfomed excellently. We always do our meat in this cooker and mix up some gravy, just enough to cover the meat and let it slow cook for 8 hours. We've cooked all meats in this way, chicken, gammon, beef, pork and lamb and the turnkey at Christmas and the results are constently great. The meat is alway beautifuly cooked, teneder and just falls apart. We've also cooked other dishes such as curry, chili con carne, bolgnaise and hotpots and the food is always beautifuly cooked and tasty, never dry or tough-eating.
The new model has an increased capacity compared to our previous model which is handy and the Tefal multi-cookers are easy to clean and maintain. One small point I'd have preferrred a hard-wired mains lead over the plugin type but as fitrted on the older model but I guess that's just a matter of personal preference. Another reason why I chose this and the previous model was that it has a closable hinged lid and not a glass lid resting on the top, a safetly consideration when you have either/or small children and pets around the house.
I have absolutely no difficulty recommending this product to anyone looking for a good relaible slow cooker/multicooker. It is well made and cooks beautifuly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Merkuseva Easy to use multi-cooker
I am still figuring out my way round cooking in the multi-cooker, but thus far I could see this makes my kitchen life much easier. Mainly meant for rice cooking, the programs can be adapted to various recipes. At the moment I mostly use this cooker for soups, but intend to use it more for stews/ragu type of dishes in the future. I also have a new addition to the family and steaming function will come handy once the wee one starts eating her baby food.
