A reproduction of Joseph Mallord William Turner's Dawn After the Wreck, it was originally painted using watercolour on canvas in 1841.
Turner was born in London in 1775. He is perhaps the best-loved English Romantic artist. He became known as 'the painter of light', because of his increasing interest in brilliant colours as the main constituent in his landscapes and seascapes. His works include water colours, oils and engravings.

I am very pleased with the quality of this print and the frame is great too. I had slight reservations about the quality of the frame from the pictures on-line but needn't have worried as it is very well made (I went of the dark frame which compliments the print well).
