TP283 Genius Octagonal 2 SurroundSafe™ 14ft Trampoline
Don't waste you money
It was brilliant until the poles that go through the top of the net frayed and the elastic snapped. JL organised replacements which came with no elastic!!! Second lot of replacements arrived and lasted 4 days. JL tried to get yet more parts from TP with no joy. JL sent new trampoline and told me to take out parts I needed. The new parts are now metal strips, not poles. They do not lock when clipped in place so every time my daughter bounces on it, they come apart. Being flat metals ends, they then poked through causing holes!! Cannot fault JL in any way, they have been great. Cannot say the same about this expensive trampoline.

I wouldn't call this the Rolls Royce of trampolines; in fact, it was pretty underwhelming considering it cost the price of a small car!
The instructions were poor and once we'd put it up we noticed there was a hole about the size of a 50p in the netting (which I believe has been a common complaint about this trampoline). To be honest, by the time we'd put it up, we weren't going to take it all down again - but very annoying to have a hole.
But my main gripe is the poor fitting of all the fabric around the base of the trampoline - and the velcro parts all seemed mismatched and the whole thing didn't fit together. It just doesn't look very slick now it has been put together. It works fine - but doesn't, in my opinion, reflect its cost.
On the plus side, it is enormous and of course the kids love it!! And the actual trampoline bit i.e. where they jump is great.
But overall, my husband and I were disappointed.

Poor Customer Service from TP
We bought this item thinking it was of good quality and generally it is. However the clamps that support the top ring of the netting assembly have broken. In addition the ring itself has fragmented. Furthermore the netting is frayed around the entrance zip.
We have contacted TP on several occasions as they have spares facility. However for the last 6 months they have fobbed us off with "no parts in stock", "parts on order" and "can't guarantee when parts will be available". Trampoline now not safe to use until parts can be sourced.

We had a cheap trampoiline for 5 years but it eventually fell apart. We nearly bought a similar one but I decided to spend a bit more on this as it looked well made. All I can say is it is well worth the extra money. It has a lot more bounce than the previous one and the kids love it. It is good to have something to get them off the computer and games machines.
It was easy (but time consuming) to put together and certainally dominates the garden. The legs give a more stable base and the surround looks to be fairly child proof.

Rolls Royce of Trampolines
Start with downside: Tool to pull springs during set up is rubbish, my husband tore his hands until he designed a meatier Heath Robinson alternative. Trampoline lifted and flew into hedge in Force 9 gale. Maybe need warning to weight it down in high wind. Upside: Safety, bounce, quality FANTASTIC. Excellent product for kids as well as adults (even the cat likes playing on it). The size is lovely for teenagers with energy to burn. I highly recommend this product and would buy it again.

Big and bouncy - quality trampoline
This is a quality trampoline - which, although large, looks great (as far as kids garden play equipment ever can!) as the colour recedes into the garden. It was pretty straightforward to put up - by my husband , ably assisted by our 10 year old daughter - and feels substantial. Our daughter is a keen bouncer, and she was delighted to report that it was a better, bouncier trampoline than any other garden trampoline she had been on - being more like the professional trampolines used by her club. The surround seems to work very well - I had always been wary of the dangers of trampolines, but the surroundsafe system seems to keep the bouncer well away from the springs and safely within the enclosure. Unfortunately, after only a couple of weeks use, the material next to the zip on the surroundsafe enclosure frayed into a hole, which is a bit disappointing - and taking it all down to put in the replacement will be a hassle I would rather have avoided. Shame - otherwise, and excellent product.
