Urban Decay Ink For Eyes Liner, Perversion

Product information

We're all for the glossy black liner look, but if you've ever resorted to lining your eyes with a Sharpie, it's time for an eyeliner intervention.

Urban Decay introduces Ink for Eyes. Draw intense, shiny, blacker-than-black lines with absolute precision. Ink for Eyes has an ultra fine tip for a smooth, controlled application every time. Whether you want razor-thin lines, winged cat eyes or bold, dramatic lines, Ink for Eyes does it all.

Our long-wearing formula glides on smoothly (without skipping or pulling) and dries down to an ultra waterproof finish that won't smudge, run or feather. And the colour payoff is insane!

The best part? Ink for Eyes is really forgiving and so EASY to use, just like a marker, perfect for everyone from beginners all the way to experts. And unlike the dreaded Sharpie, it's actually removable.

Q & As

Rated 2 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not waterproof & tricky to handle I'm a long-term fan of liquid eyeliner and a dab hand with both brushes and more of a "nib" style. I hadn't tried one of these felt-tip-esque versions but I figured that if any version would work, it would be Urban Decay's. Unfortunately I found it tricky to use. The inflexibility of the end meant that flicks were harder to achieve than with a thin brush-type applicator, and the fact that the ink is in the body of the liner means that you can't control how much product you're applying at any one time (i.e. you can't dunk it in and then wipe off the excess). I found it streakier than I'm used to and needed to go over it a couple of times to fill in the paler patches. I figured it would be worth the extra effort and stress of applying the product since it was marketed as waterproof and long-lasting, and I was in Portugal at the time and headed for a night out in high temperatures. Sadly, patches of my thick cats-eye wings had rubbed, flaked and slid off before the night was half-way through. It did look good immediately after I'd finished but then frankly so does any liquid eyeliner so it's hard to see what the benefits of this are when it's hard to apply, doesn't stay on as promised, and is comparatively expensive. I would say that if you are looking for something which draws very thin lines and short/skinny flicks then perhaps you'd like this, but if you're after a more dramatic look (which Urban Decay usually allows for!) then there are definitely more suitable products on the market. This is now languishing at the bottom of my make-up drawer as an emergency alternative in case my cheap high-street versions run out. Not exactly the fate I'd intended for an eyeliner which cost three or four times as much as the ones for which it's now merely a backup! 30 June 2015
