Vitra Corniches Shelves, Black

Product information

Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec designed Corniches in 2012 in response to the need for the spontaneous storage of household objects, especially in small spaces. Ronan elaborates on this inspiration by saying 'the same way that we hang our belongings on a rock jutting from a cliff before diving into the sea, we need small, informal storage in everyday life too'. Thus, Corniches are neither regular shelves nor simple horizontal surfaces, but rather individual ledges which form part of our living landscape.
