The smart stainless steel with black lid Zanussi ZCG551GXC slot-in gas cooker is 55cm wide and is perfect for smaller kitchens where space may be at a premium. It’s powerful and versatile, with the features and capacity to serve your busy kitchen with ease.

The hob has four burners with enamel pan supports, including one 3.2kw rapid ring - perfect for woks. The controls are angled up so you can easily make adjustments and monitor settings at a glance.

Underneath is the top oven and powerful variable grill. It features a full-size viewing window and is lined with Clear'n'Clean enamel.

The main oven is a deceptively large 77 litre capacity and is catalytic lined for straightforward cleaning - all the fat that lands on these surfaces burns off in the heat of the roasting process, leaving only the floor and the roof of the cavity to be wiped over. The ZCG551GX features a minute minder to time all of your meals to perfection.

All gas appliances must be installed by a GasSafe registered engineer. Please note that connection hoses are not supplied with gas cookers for this reason.

Excellent choice We changed to gas after many years with an electric oven with halogen hobs which we found very difficult to control. What a difference! Wonderful food cooked in half the time. Would recommend to anyone. The only reservation I have is the paucity of information in the instruction booklet otherwise 5 stars. 04 March 2013

Versatile cooker Im really pleased with this zanussi, it replaced an oven owned for over 10 years. Chrismas lunch was easier with the two ovens, ensuring that I could complete dinner even though I needed different heat settings. It took a little while to get used to having the door open when using the grill (my previous oven you had to have the door shut when using the grill.) but that is just use. Cakes and pastries are good too, I did have a little concern because my previous oven was electric but these were unfounded. It's amazing how much food you can fit into this small framed cooker, so far I am very pleased withmy purchase. I do need to commend the deliver and installation service from John Lewis staff. Polite organised and efficient. 08 January 2013

Great gas cooker This cooker looks good and works well. It's surprising how much you can get in it. I particularly like the gas cut off feature to the hob when the lid is down. My only compliant is that it's difficult to keep pristine with grease marks on the shiny black surface. Otherwise it would have got full marks! 05 January 2013

Solidly made and stylish to look at 1 month in, we are happy with the cooker. The only frustrations being the lack of an easily usable grill pan and the need to slide shelves in very precisely otherwise they get stuck. 23 December 2012

very stylish cooker Purchased this cooker after having seperate hob and oven for a large number of years the cooker is very stylish and looks good in my kitchen. The hob burners are very efficient and there are plenty of shelves in the oven. one drawback is there is no grill handle but as the grill is the size of a shelf and fits in the shelf grooves this is not a big problem. Very pleased with this purchase 23 November 2012

good with annoying failings I'm getting to know and like this cooker. After adjusting the space to the different standard dimensions since 15? years ago, it stood for 5 weeks in my hallway as the fitters were unable to connect it and my plumber was too busy. Eventually he adjusted the pipework in 20 minutes. It looks good and the burners and ovens are easy to use, except that the top oven is very slow to warm up, and, the main, serious, snag, none of the burners will do a slow simmer. I'm hoping to find a burner cover that will make it possible to get back to precision cooking. 19 November 2012

High quality, looks good and cooks great! After two weeks I'm really pleased with this product, from the different sized hob rings to both ovens and grill. For a 55cm wide cooker both oven sizes are really big, as is the heating surface of the grill - compared to my old cooker it's hard to see how the overs are so big. Cooking various types of food has returned pleasing results each time, including using the large grill for 4 slices of toast - never found a pop up toaster come close to a good flame grill, and this is a great grill. Though I purchased a separate grill pan with removable handles as the one provided was too big for normal use and without handles. Delivery and fitting was a typical John Lewis efficient and friendly service, without fault. 25 September 2012

Thank you J Lewis Ordered this product for my son his oven had died! JL were the best price plus offered an installation and removal of old product option. The product was everything we expected and more, the fitter was polite and very efficient and helpful . As a result we have just ordered a new oven for ourselves which arrives from J Lewis on Monday. 23 September 2012
