Zoffany Vellum Wallpaper, Charcoal, 310212
This distinguished Vellum stripe was originally designed in the early 18th century and has an incredible heritage, not least because it was an early foray into the technique of making paper using very fine sieves. Its original inspiration dates back to a fragment of paper created by Italian firm, Picardo, in the 1500s. It is thought that the design company supplied papers to Leonardo da Vinci.
Zoffany’s sophisticated aesthetic originates from its beginnings, when it exclusively supplied historic wall coverings for private commissions. The design house has since become internationally renowned for its quality, elegance and heritage.
