Burleigh Asiatic Pheasants Tableware

A unique range boasting a quintessential English design, inspired by an oriental pattern. The pattern is both more collectable and scarcer as each year goes by.

Asiatic Pheasants create a transfer printed china pattern made by many British potters, which has achieved worldwide poplularity for nearly 200 years. The most popular dinnerware pattern of the Victorian era!

Underglaze transfer printing is our speciality at Burleigh. This labour intensive decorating method has been in use for over 200 years. We are now the last English pottery company that still continues this traditional and highly skilled hand decorating process.

Burleigh is a family business that was established in 1851 and is still manufacturing exquisite earthenware products in the 21st Century. With a rich heritage in design and craftsmanship, Burleigh use ball clay from Devon, china clay from Cornwall and the unique skilled decorating process of underglaze transfer printing.
