Christys' Classic Down Brim Panama Hat, Bleached, 60cm

A classic Grade 5 weave Panama and with a full shade down brim, this Panama sits at the heart of Christys' warm weather hat collection. Hand-woven in Ecuador and made in England it's finished with a crest pin on the band.

Despite their name, Panama hats have never been made in Panama, they originate from Ecuador where they have been woven since the mid-1600s. Christys' produces its Panama hat hoods in Ecuador using traditional weaving techniques to craft a rough cone shape. They are then shaped, blocked by hand and finished with a band in the factory in Oxfordshire, England to the highest traditional standards.
