PREPARE YOUR HOME FOR EASTER GUESTS

PREPARE YOUR HOME FOR EASTER GUESTS

Spring is in full swing, and Easter is just around the corner. If you’re expecting guests, now’s the time to get organised, so when the long bank holiday arrives, you can enjoy it with friends and family.

And if you need to do a spring clean first, read our article for tips on how to freshen up your home.

Are your guests staying over?

Sleeping space
If you're tight on space, our inflatable beds start at £13.99, or for as little as £79, we've compact and practical folding guest beds. If you have the room, a sofa bed makes a great investment: their design has evolved to ensure a pleasing aesthetic even with the inclusion of a bed, for convenience and visual appeal.

Fresh linens
Clean sheets and soft towels are so welcoming – just make sure there are enough to go around. Our John Lewis Basics range of fitted sheets start at £4, plus you can order them for next day delivery via click & collect to our shops. If you need more pillows, stock up for as little as £7 a pair.

Make sure everyone has a towel, too: our John Lewis Basics range is made of 100% cotton and prices start from £4 for a bath towel. Bath and shower essentials provide a welcome extra touch your guests will love, and if you really want to impress, add dressing gowns and slippers to the mix.

Do you need more lounging space?

If you're after a bigger sofa for Easter guests, we’ve got a great selection from £299, and armchairs from £179. We can even get selected options to you just 7 days after ordering.

If you don’t have much space to work with, bean bags offer casual seating, and make a great option for kids, while stacking chairs are great for accommodating unexpected guests and save on space when not in use.

Are you hosting the Easter roast?

When it comes to eating together, you might want to consider extra dining chairs – we have a variety, starting from £19. If you opt for a folding or extendable dining table, you can seat everyone comfortably for the Easter feast, and simply make your table smaller again afterwards.

Want to create an Easter theme?

Once you’ve made some extra space around the table, you might want to think about an Easter setting. Egg cups will add a whimsical feel to breakfast time, while Easter-themed napkins and a springtime table cover add the finishing touch to a lunch with family and friends.

Easter decorations will create a celebratory feel, with everything from mini fluffy chicks to colourful hanging eggs making an appearance. Keep little guests entertained with an Easter egg hunt – to really make it fun, Talking Tables have created an Easter egg hunt kit to help you set up your home or garden with footprints and sign posts.
