Staying in is the new going out

STAYING IN IS THE NEW GOING OUT

Yes, it is party season and we're not saying boycott all festivities but no one is out every night. Surely.

Press pause on the champagne and canapés and lounge like a pro in our favourite not-going-out outfits. Extend this staying-in spirit to your living space and decor for the best way to fully relax.

You may have noticed it's winter. And despite the lure of twinkly lights and prosecco on tap, we need some R&R. It's time to make that one-pot stew from the paper and indulge your winter hibernation instincts.

Creating a sleep sanctuary is key but why not spread these 'nest' vibes across your whole house. Making your living space extra cosy means getting home after signal failures and last-minute meetings is a real treat.

Although we're not always able to float around a minimalist flat in a waffle robe, it doesn't mean we can't add some of these 'spa hotel' elements to everyday living. Whether working from home, doing a DIY face mask or bedding in to binge watch a box set, why not do it in premium loungewear amidst calming low-lighting and hint of a home fragrance?

The key to serious laid back lounging is being a bit indulgent. Yes, you were going to give that lavish skincare as a gift, but it's freezing outside and you're probably dealing with a mounting sleep debt. Come to think of it...your skin probably needs it more. Buy another one.

Put on something slouchy and soft and try and blank out any FOMO, obligatory guilt and group texts talking about Christmas day logistics, turn off the WiFi if needs must.

And...relax.
