What is RAM?
RAM (Random Access Memory) is different to the permanent storage provided by hard disk drives (HDD), solid state drives (SSD) or memory cards in your equipment. RAM is used by your device to temporarily store data to carry out everyday operations. The more RAM your machine has, the faster you can expect it to open and run programs.
A solid performer
Featuring 8GB of RAM, this computer has enough power for casual tasks like web browsing and word processing as well as more demanding jobs like complex spread sheets and image manipulation. You'll be able to run a healthy number of windows at once without any obvious lag or slowdown.
Intel’s UHD graphics processing unit (GPU) will enable you to enjoy a number of classic older games, along with some casual (web-based) gaming. You may be able to run more modern titles with reduced effects and frame rates.
Thanks to its crisp 15.6”, Full HD screen, viewing your high-resolution photos, films and videos will be a pleasure. It has been designed to convey stunning, immersive images and it makes for a great gaming and multimedia experience.
The web camera makes for fun photo and web experiences, whilst the memory card port offers a convenient way to upload your photos and videos, as well as a future storage upgrade solution.
Built-in Wi-Fi makes it easy to connect this laptop to the internet, whether that's through your own home network, Wi-Fi at work or a public connection. Bluetooth will let you send files and folders wirelessly between Bluetooth devices, or even stream music to compatible speakers or headphones.
Download MS Office
At the time of writing (Q3 2019) Microsoft enables you to download their Office apps, like Word or Excel for free when using an Android device (such as this one). Please search on the Google Play Store for further details.
