Inspired by traditional Japanese woodblock printing, the berry pattern on this set of four napkins was created by our in-house Design Studio. Made of pure cotton, they're machine washable for everyday use. Team them with our matching berry print table linens.
The cotton has been produced in line with the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to ‘make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in, and better for the sector’s future.’ BCI works with partners around the world to train farmers to produce cotton more sustainably. By buying this product from John Lewis & Partners, you’re supporting the training of these farmers to use water efficiently, care for the health of the soil and natural habitats, reduce the use of harmful chemicals, and apply principles of fair and decent work.
Part of our Art of Japan themeThis theme is inspired by traditional Japanese woodblock prints, where artists use elements of Japanese art and update the composition and layout in a contemporary way.
The palette is predominantly red with gold. Here we have our traditional Christmas icons of mistletoe, berries and robins but drawn up in a contemporary style, as well as landscapes, bonsai trees, cherry blossoms, fish and lanterns.
All of this year's design themes have been inspired by the colour and creativity within art and the idea that art is for all. Christmas is a time for creativity, whether that means the time and effort put into preparing your home, or simply bringing friends and family together to make great memories.
